So sorry you're feeling this way from your man's cold (Im a woman and I get man's cold) Well there are 2 things you can do.
1. soak your feet up to the ankle in cold water. This will clear your sinuses but it wont last that long.
2. rince your nose with salted water. They sell little thingy just for that. This will not only clear your nose but kill the bacteria also, so you can say buhbye stuffed up nose!!
Theres always hot chicken soup to help you feel better!!

Oh yes, I only get a man's cold and they call it this way because men whine when they're sick. But at my house, my husband has a woman's cold and Im the one with the man's cold......gawd.....I can whine and whine some more when I have a cold. I hide in my bedroom when it happens haha!!
Try to find the thingy to rinse your nose so it doesnt hurt!! Some say you can breathe the water through your nose but it goes down your throat and its not very pleasant.
This is what Im talking about, have a look:

Shove a bottle of hot sauce close up to your nose. That'll clear things up. I bet you'll have super smelling abilities too.

That really drives me up a wall! It's been a long time since I had a cold but I've had a stuffy nose due to allergies. When that happens I take Claritin (generic, of course) and it helps. Sniffing a small amount of water also helps to break up the congestion.

I would drink warm water, walk around and also smell this medical oil which got this minty-spicy smell. But if you don't mind having just one of your nose blocked rather than two, lie down on one side and your the other side nose will be "unblocked". I am not sure how, why it works for me but I hope it works for you. Get well soon! Cheers

Well, Benadryl is very good for a stuffy nose because Benadryl helps dry out the mucous membranes plus helps you sleep. You can also try to put some vicks vaporub around your neck area and will help you breath better. You can also buy the liquid vicks vaporub to put on humidifiers and that can also help you breath better.

I have this annoying runny nose too during cold seasons. Blowing the nose or blowing stuff in your nose out wont help. It also gives you teary eyes plus the feeling that a fluid is coming out from the nose which is really annoying.
Try drinking a lot of water (not cold) and cover your head as much as possible (maybe a bonnet) because when I ride a bus and the air that is coming from the aircon goes directly to my head, I am starting to feel that my nose is being clogged.
Hopefully this helps you. Good thing its not a cold season here =) Get well soon olisaur

i always have a stuffy nose and i just had surgery to try and aleviate this. there are some great over the counter meds that can help dry up your nose temporarily but you dont want to dry it up too much as this is one way that your body gets rid of germs.
i also find that laying on your side does help and sometimes nose spray does too.

steam can help that. when my nose is like that my wife let me breath near the steam of a boiling kettle. sometimes she pour hot water in a basin with eucalyptus oil and that helps me breath with my nose. the steam melts the mucus that is cloging the air passage. it feels relaxing after wards. try it. hope this helps

Hey Olisaur,
Everyone over here has a cold. For me my symptoms are stuffy nose, and itchy scratchy throat. I cough a little bit but not much. Have you tried mucinex cough? That might help with the mucus build up for you.
In past years, it's always my throat and cough that has bothered me the most. I would literally get up every little while to suck on another cough drop, and another cough drop, it never helped. I never took any kind of medicine, just cough drops, I would take sore throat spray, and maybe some robotussin but not much...

Wahahaha! I have a solution for it! Take it! Hot noodles seasoned with hot chili or lots of spicy pepper! Smoking hot! Eating that is guaranteed will drain your clogged nose! Don't blow your nose so hard... it will be damaged. If you continue blowing it hard, can you imagine what happen to volcanoes with too much pressure beneath? They explode! Now, do you like that to happen to your nose? Nose eruption? :)

I hate the cold because I am a nose breather. I only use my mouth when I want to or need to. The cold is one of my worst enemies

Yeah I hate that feeling that your nose seemed stuffy and breathing is just a hassle. I think if you want you can buy those nasal spray if you want. I think you can buy those over the counter else you need to have it prescribed by your doctor. It has worked for me but I guess it has some bad side effects when you over do it. It somehow makes the lining of your nasal rather thin so there is a tendency that if you used it always you can have nosebleed in the process. So when using this use it sparingly and there will come a time that it won't be as effective in the long use of it.
