We bought a strawberry plant for $2 and it is much cheaper then to buy groceries at the store, sure it takes a while to grow but it saves much more money. What are your thoughts on growing fruit or vegetable plants?

It is very amazing how much money you can save if you grow your own produce. ^-^ A couple years ago, my sister planted a raspberry plant in the backyard, an it gave us tons and tons of juicy raspberries. At my local grocery store a couple ounces of raspberries is like $5! Blueberries, strawberries and blackberries are all pretty expensive as well. And there's those little seed packets- some of them are under $1, and can grow you a bunch of fresh vegetables. There are tons of advantages to growing food yourself. ^-^

Hi! We tried to grow vegetables but the deer would come by and eat off of them, and we think maybe even coyotes as well. We had cucumbers and squash, Carrots as well, and I think watermelon. I'd love to be able to grow those things again but would need something that would stop the deer from eating the food whilst it grew.

Here there are such kind of strawberry plants to be sold. The strawberry seeds are put into the little plastic pots. You just need to water the pots everyday and soon the strawberry will grow up. I think it is for fun because at the end you may just get about 6 strawberries and I don't think it is enough for us to eat:) I love China

I can't wait to get ito the garden in the spring. I've kept it small but make good use of every square inch! My daughter loves to help me with planting, weeding and picking when the time comes. I love nurturing the garden through the summer and then reaping the benefits in the fall. You get sunshine and fresh air, some exercise and fresh, healthy food.
