can we create water by ourselves?

Hi, Mylotters! As I know water is made from Oxygen and Hydrogen. If people have already recognized the substances water made from, do you think that someday people will be able to create water in a laboratory? Maybe it's kinda of a silly question but let's imagine. and thanks for your participation in this discussion. Happy mylotting!

No. It is not possible to create water or any other substance by ourselves. It always has to come from something. It is a known fact that matter cannot be created nor destroyed.

Yeah, only if it is possible. But the law of conservation of mass states that it can't be created. Water just change phases, the next best thing we can do is change it back to it's liquid form.

but comments above us said that people are able to create water by themselves. I don't know exactly abut this matter but I'm skeptic too that actually we don't have any abilities to create water by ourselves. though I do hope so much that someday people will be able to create water by themselves, but I keep being skeptic..LOL..

mmm..if we can produce fresh water by ourselves, so I don't need to worry about lack of water in the future, right?

i think there's no impossible, but i dont know how to make it. maybe scientists may thought about how to make water. but then i'm thinking about why we have to make water, while GOD gave us much water.

hi, nophie. I also think like what you think. nothing is impossible today. you're right that God has given us much water. but I dunno, I think someday there will be a condition in which water is so rare. it's based on the phenomena today. the forest are cutting off and replaced by building. we know that forest has a main role in water supply. so if scientist could create water, I don't need to worry then. hehe.

not bad I think. you know what, I never ever heard about an alternative source of fresh water, so it's really bothering me that we have lack of water when dry season comes. it often happens in our country. if there's an alternative source, we no need to worry anymore.

oh ic, but i think scientists have to think how can make pure water from sea. what do you think humaira?

my friend, it's possible. scientists could produce rain by cloud seeding isn't it?

hi, basqui..thanks for the info. I really don't understand about this matter. but here I want to discuss about real water, not only liquid but also could be consumed as well. what about cloud seeding, can we consume water from that process? thanks for answering.

so it's a big breakthrough then..it's amazing that people could create water cos we don't need to wait for the rain comes to get fresh water. but why are there still many areas in this world suffer from lack of water? if people could create water, they should create as much as water so no people in this world suffer from lack of water. what do you think about this, we have been able to create water but there are still many people get thirst. what could be the problem?

i think it's consumable as long as the area is not air polluted, else that rain will become acid rain? huh?

No, way of creating water by our own.Though we have some great things in this modern technologies , there will always some natural things that we should depend. So , water is one of that.We cannot make water but we can depend on it and we can make other things. This is my opinion and I think we can do great things from water but not making water from some chemical things..

that's my worry too, brotha. I don't think that people are actually able to produce water from any substances. but I hope the scientist will find a way to produce water. it will be helpful for human being later.

Yes dear water can be synthesized from hydogen and oxygen molecules in the laboratory, but the process is costly, to get one glass of water you need to spend a lot Thanks for this nice post, happy posting, cheers Professor here

nha, maybe the costly factor which will make the production of water will find difficulty to be true. but I'm sure that it won't be impossible someday. people never stop thinking of anything and I'm sure some of scientists out there are working hard to create water on a cheap way. and we should also thank to the green activists who try hard to save or planet from destruction. maybe I'm not a scientist nor a green activist, but I do hope that we could keep this nature well so the nature won't be angry to us someday..

if u use word "create" .. it is something humankind willnever be able to do. what we and scientists done for hundreds of years is ONLY inventing, not creating. Arranging, manipulating, combining etc. We can never create water even though we already know what it consist of and how its combination in nature. It only change forms/phase. Same case with foods, no scientists can synthesized anykind of foods without natural-products, which can only be produced by NATURE. Subhanallah, God IS GREAT.

yeah, you're right maybe. so the conclusion we may take perhaps, we are only able to maintain the nature, not create them. not only water but also all of what God gives to us. yeah, Alloh is Great. He provides all human needs but we are so bad by destroying it. we know that we get water only from rain. then trees keep water under their roots. but, we cut so many trees stupidly. we knew but we denied. sure we need trees cos they're the basic material for paper, buildings or furniture, but we should also maintain their existence not only use them. we cut them off but we don't plant them as regeneration. in my childhood, river had so much water though in dry season, but today, rivers become so narrow cos they don't have water anymore. they don't have water because there is no supply from trees in the forest, cos there are no trees. the rivers lose their water just in two weeks or a month of dry season. it's so pity. human should be wiser then..

heck, people have been doing that for a LONG time. If you use hydrogen to power a machine then the only byproduct is water - easy-peasy

hi, elicBxn..thanks for your information. then it must be a good news for me. you know what, beside I really want to know whether people could create water in a laboratory, I'm also really worry about lack of fresh water someday. I think it will be happened someday. losing of forest threads the supply of water. so if we're able to produce water, the problem is solved already. thanks, friend.

Crying or urinating makes us produce water by our selves but actually it is only the body system who do it. Naturally we can produce water by combining hydrogen and oxygen together, that's makes water for us

you're right that urinating and crying will produce water, but they couldn't be consumed by people. LOL. what I mean here is can we produce water which people can consume it. I don't know much about chemistry but I really curious about this issue. so if you have answer, you may help me solving my curiosity. :)
