There are many Bible characters within the bible.Abraham,Joseph,Jacob,Issac,Morses,etc.They are all the people from the Old Testament. And who else?King David,Samuel,King Solomon....,and the Prophet Jonah,Isaiah,Amos and on and on ....What have they done?I think you should take a good look on the Bible yourself and find out the interesting things they have experineced. In the New Testament, you will also find John the Baptist,Peter,Thomas,Paul and of course Jesus as well.Oh yes,one more in the last chapter of the Bible:Revelation. You will find John who receieved his great revelation in the island of Patmos. If you are willing to take a look on the speiacl figure that may interest you,you don't just find out something about them. You will also find something that may change your life as well.Well, take a look and tell me who do you like the most and why?

The most preferred character in the old testament is the MOSES and in the new testament the CHRIST for me, Obviously, it is for TEN COMMANDMENTS and GREAT TEACHINGS ABOUT SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL LIFE respectively.

for me is christand his disciples.. and zaccheaus the tax collector. because he admitted that he committed sin infront of jesus. even the people judge himas a sinner. but he repent his sin and willing to give up everything what in him in order to follow the footsteep of jesus.. becuase he knows that what we have in this world, we cannot bring it to heaven..

Thank you for commenting to my response, but actually you should have responded directly to the originator of this discussion, so that he would have got the credits from my lot.

I have a particular attraction to Joseph. I remember on a Youth Sunday years ago, I played the main character Joseph in a musical and his character really grew on me. I guess what I liked about him was that he was not afraid to talk about his dreams aloud (unlike most of us who would probably keep our dreams to ourselves to avoid being laughed at ) and that he really trusted God although he was mistreated by his brothers and was thrown into a situation where everything is doubtful and unknown. And the best of all is he didn't get big headed when he became a big shot and he attributed it all to God and forgave his brothers. Wow, that is truly something that no human can do if they are not touched by God Himself. Beauty.....
PS: Oh, I forgot to mention I loved the technicolour coat too (as they call it ).....it would be a beauty if I could see the real thing....

My favorite person that is spoken of in the bible is the Virgin Mary. The reason that I like her so much is that she was such a strong woman. She was able to bear the son of God for him and she was able to raise her son knowing all along that he was meant to be a sacrifice for the world. She knew that she was eventually going to lose her son, but she didn't let that interfere with the way that she reared her son. She should be an inspiration to all mothers.

I choose Job. I admire him by showing his total faith to God in times of troubles and sickness. He proves that he is truly God's servant and believers. If you read his story,Satan tests Job's faith by getting his wealth, family and suffering incurable diseases or sickness. At the end of test, Satan had surrendered because Job never give up whatever it takes.

Some aready mentions Job, and i must agree. He lost everything he got, and God dont help him, BUT it doesn't change a thing in his relationship to God. That is what i would call real faith, and with that faith he was safed in Jesus' GREAT mercy. hallelujah!

Aside from Jesus, I think I like Job the most. I'm a little bit rusty and not sure if his the right guy I'm pertaining to. There's this guy who was put to test by the devil telling God that he,Job would abandon God if everything was taken away from him, from material needs to his own family and self. So, job, suffering the lost of his wealth and sons, and later on got inflicted with a disease never once blamed God instead Thank God for what he had accomplished for each of this endeavor. I just love the story so much and wish I was like him.

I really don't have a favorite Bible character. I've read the Bible, but I tend to take a very non-traditional view of it.
Actually, many of the novels that I write (because I love writing weird novels) deal with the Bible from a different point of view. Some characters that I find particularly interesting are Cain, Leviathan, and Behemoth. I'm not exactly sure why I find them so interesting, but part of it could be that the lives they take on as the characters in my story that makes them so appealing.
There are a lot of really interesting things to read in the Bible, though, and I do recommend reading it. I've always been particularly fond of Revelation and it was actually the first part of the Bible I read, ironic as that may be. ^_^

King Solomon is definately my favorite character in the bible. He was indeed a great man. Can you Imagine when God gave him a "blank cheque" and told him to ask for anything that his heart desired - the man asked for wisdom. I think I would have asked for wealth, health, joy and all those things that my selfish heart desires.
