do you listen to music when using your computer?

i do. i normally have a headset with me and i use it at work or at home when i'm doing something in my computer. but as long as its minimum volume cause sometimes it distracts me when its too loud.

As I am sitting here spending some time on mylot, I do have music running in the background on my computer. I think that when I have some kind of backround noise going on then I am more effective in getting what I want to do done on the computer. It makes it to where the computer holds my attention better than it would do if I didn't have music going on. Besides that, I think that I am able to keep a better pace when I have music on.

I do not listen to music but the television is always on. So in a way, there is some background noise which I call music. Only in office, I will have music with the earphone.

I do that quite often.....But i also make sure that my co workers are not disturbed by it. Most often than not...we all enjoy great music while working on a Computer.

Sometimes mostly I watch T.V or I should say listen to it. I have a habit of listening to tv (news etc) and once in a while I will watch a movie as I glance at my email or on mylot. When I get bored with them I then will turn to my ipod and plug in and play. So yes I have to say I do listen to other devices as I stroll the internet.

I do sometimes listen to music while I work or, because I work from home, I sometimes have the T.V. on. It really does depend on my mood I guess. I know that if I am doing household chores I need to have my IPod firmly in my ears because housework is way too boring to do it without any uplifting music! It’s a mood thing whether I like quiet or not, most of the time it’s ‘not’.

yes i do while browsing the net or be busy here in mylot. i always have a background music playing. it helps me feel so relax and avoid boredom while browsing. sometimes it makes me feel sleepy if i play love song or instrumental music. i just put the volume low so i cant disturb my neighbors.

When I was working I listened to music while on my computer all of the time. I don't do it at home, because sometimes there are things I want to hear, and I can't concentrate on it when there is music playing.

generally, yes, petercenter. music really relaxes and helps me focus on what i am doing. i write better with soft music playing. also, the concentration and focus is a lot higher than when i do it without music and allow various noises to filter through my thoughts. music overshadows the noise coming from the street. music feeds my soul and waters my spirit.

Yes, since I am working at home right now I really need to have music to keep me going with my online job.

I don't usually listen to music while on the computer, as I find it distracting. If I'm doing something important, music keeps me from focusing on it. However, I will listen to it to block out noise (people talking, etc.), because noise is more distracting than music. Right now I'm listening to music because I'm at a coffee shop, and there was a table of girls right near me, and I was tired of listening to them talk.

I sometimes do depending on what I'm doing on the internet. Like if I'm writing something or reading something I tend to get distracted by the music so I usually don't listen to it then. But if I'm just relaxing on the internet then I will put it on because it makes it a lot more fun and like you said, it can relax you.

I find that I don't have a specific preference. Sometimes I like listening to music and singing along while I'm on the computer, at other times it doesn't matter much. It's good if your neighbors at work don't mind the music but if they do then better use a headset. That's what I used to do, but now we're no longer allowed to store/play music from our workstations.

Hello Depends on my mood, sometimes I like to listen to music real loud, other times I will put my ipod on and just chill out, I find it hard to listen while I am in mylot, I have done it but I its easier responding without any distractions. Thanks.

I listen to music whenever I'm doing anything, and since I'm on my computer majority of the time that's when I am able to find new music to add to my collection. While at work we're allowed to listen to country music on the radio, but I'm not such a huge fan of it so I don't usually listen to music there.

Since I'm currently working at home, I love to listen to music while working.
