New Zealand held their nerve and won the first match of the ODI series against Australia at Napier. It was a good contest and Ross Taylor scored 70 and Scott Styris took the late charge and the match was won for NZL with 4 balls to go! It was first defeat for Aussies after they went on without a loss for 14 matches. Now the series will be more interesting as Australia will be trying to bounce back and New Zealand would like to keep the winning momentum. Ross Taylor was adjudged Man of the Match for his run a ball knock of 70.

from this match we see that the team that has all big heads like australia cannot win all the time because only the team in which players keep their head cool end up big at the end of the day.

didnt get to watch the match but caught the commentary of the last 6 overs.have to give credit to styris for his performance considering he was not even in the squad a year ago but have to say some luck was going in favor of the kiwis.if bond can hit sixes and boundaries, must be bad day for the aussies.
