Can we get some new emoticons?

I note that we now have some new icons to play with, but I have thought of two that I would like: Crossed fingers for 'fingers crossed'... and a shrug for IMHO/That's what I think anyway...kind of thing My question is what do you think of these suggestions and which ones would you like to see?

i also want to use the kiss, so we can use it in partnership with hugs. hugs and kisses.

yeah, we don't have enough. We are limited here how we can express our emotions.. We need one that shows the emotion of venting...like exploding/screaming or something...you know really pissed off.

Are you sure that would actually be helpful?? I think in some ways we are limited, but in others, there is too much choice... I don't need four different degrees of glee going from smile to woot and including both LOL and ROFL... I also don't need a sleeping a snoring as well as a yawn I'm....feeling... kind of ....drowsy...now...

Hi, livewyre. I think that your ideas are great ones that will be useful to have on myLot. I have also wanted to see some different ones myself. Maybe an icon of being "curious" would be great to have. And an icon of being "annoying" is another suggestion. And the last three that comes to mind would be an icon of a good smell and a bad smell.. And an icon that display a face specifying that something is yummy and delicious. I think that having an icon of being "hungry" is another interesting idea to have too.

A wrinkled up nose like there is a bad smell would get used lots I am sure - wow, I never thought there would be so many suggestions - I think I am going to have to get out my graphics software and make some of these...

Hey it would be really nice if we can get some new ones. i want the "party" emoticons and some "hugging bears" like in skype. I think it will be really lovely if they put some new emoticons here :)

Well, they have of course recently expanded the icons, but a lot of them are duplicates - we now have sleep, snoring and yawning - I know some discussions can get boring but do we really need three different ways of being bored?? we also have four different ways of being excited with LOL, ROFL and WOOT! of course... and the other new one (which I quite like...) that could double as party I guess, and we do have a hug one too now...

I agree that we need a new smiley icons on Mylot. But are we come to Mylot to watch a smileys? I have responded many discussions and most of people are not use. Maybe it's because it is not so important? I don't now!

Well, it's a good point well made. Of course emoticons are not the be all and end all, but they do enhance the discussions and help to make the experience more comical - this is not just a discussion forum, there is a good deal of social interaction here too. However I take your point that content is more important than presentation (see, that helps doesn't it?)
