I am really living with paycheck by paycheck, and I still not saving enough. Things always happen, and I have to break the piggybank to help me save the moment. Like my car needs repair. I have to pay to fix this and that. Bills coming up every single month. My current pay just not enough for it as how I feel it right now. I just need a better opportunity, and I might need to change my career path. Returning to school for better training is a promising path I am going to follow.
What about you? Would consider increase the value of yourself for that?

Hi Kingparker!
I just recently lost my job, but my husband still has his. We don't have many bills to pay but still I am on here until I can find another job to replace the one I lost. I'm also thinking of going back to school. All of this I'll just have to work out, but for now I'm concentrating on earning a little more online then I have in past months.
We have savings, but no real budget, we also don't spend but on our bills and for hubby's lunch and occasional suppers.

Well, from your description, you should be fine for while. My mom also lost her job, and now she is full time at home, and do all the cooking. They have some saving, and not spend that much. On me, I just too tired of working like this, and I, myself have bunch of bills to pay.

I like paycheck to paycheck right now, yes. I plan to be able to save up some money in the future though. I figure if I keep working at home, I should be able to earn some extra money to save instead of spending it all. I need to keep a closer eye on my spending habits, and make sure I am working a set number of hours a week. If I do those two things, I think I can definitely start saving up some money.

Since I do not have a job, I am living off my savings. This means that when I had a job, I was not living with paycheck to paycheck. I set aside a certain amount for my savings so when I do not have a job ( like right now), I have money to pay for my bills.
Good luck on you plans to go back to school. I am sure a lot of opportunities will be available for you. Just live within your means and you will do fine.

yup, I've been to that years back. the good thing is that I only suffer some minor set back when I'm just starting for my first job. the payment is way below the minimum pay-out. but instead of dropping it and look for another one, I manage to pull it off and little by little, i have gained experience which I used in finding a better and more productive job. Now, happily contented with what my paycheck brings to me.

We are all in the same boat. Times are tough and I am barely making in paycheck to paycheck. My cousin had to get me a car because mine just broke down and gone to the car junkyard in the sky. I had no money for a car and my job requires a car. I work in the inventory field and we drive to each location. I was on leave for a month so I wouldn't lose my job. I had a very rough month to say the least. I am also going to be planning on getting back to school. I am going to take a computer class to get better skills for a better paying job. I would encourage anyone to go back to school to learn more skills. I think it will also look good on your resume that you are willing to learn and do whatever it takes to improve yourself for a good job. I am not sure how old you are but we are never to old to learn.

Hi I was in this situation a couple of years ago when I was student, those days were hard, I wouldn't even say that I was living from paycheck to paycheck, it was worse than that, I remember that i don't even had money to pay for groceries, or to buy my books, everything was going for the tuition, those days were horrible, fortunately right after I got out of college I got a really nice job, which i still have, and I don't have to go through the same thing again. You have to think if a change of career path would be enough for you, and whatever your decision is, you have to base it in a lot of research, but go back to school could be a good alternative with you, I always tell everybody that more education won't harm you.

Same here. But since I started working at home we are in a better position as compared before when I was working with a company. I think we are getting there. Given another year probably and without major changes I think we can get ourselves out of debt and could start saving then. Waiting for that time to come.
If there would be a training that I would like to do is training on how to make jewelries. I am currently trying to turn that hobby into business but still got a long way to go.

I am also living paycheck to paycheck and it is very stressful. I am always worried that something is going to happen and I am not going to be able to pay for it. My goal is to make enough money online to pay off both of our cars and that will relieve a lot of the stress. I just applied for a promotion at my job and if I get that, I will make a lot more and that will also help ALOT!

To be honest, with my current paycheck, I have no business complaining and saying that I don't make enough. Specially because I still live with my parents. So although I don't have a big savings account to speak of, I can't complain because I know it is all to my doing. Kudos for you for looking at options to further your learning, go for it!

I guess most people have the same dilemma as you. Even though a person is receiving a large paycheck compared to most of his peers it still doesn't mean that he is not in the same situation. I think the problem is we tend to spend more than what we earn. I realized this after I look at the direction of my savings right now. Its been dwindling every month. When I started working after I graduated I was at minimum wage but I manage to save more money then than now. Even though my income has increased more than 10 times than first paycheck. I had a larger saving back then compared to now. When I looked back at it, I saw the flaw was on the way I spent my money. The higher my income grew the more I spent on the things I wanted but not exactly the things that I needed. That is why after my last shopping spree for my hobby which is photography I decided that I should start saving my money and start becoming a smart buyer.
