which place is the best to visit in china?

I have plans also to visit china... My sis and couz went there last year for a five day tour, according to them beijing is a must to visit on, and also the great wall of china is an explicit view...

if you want to see beautiful sights,JiuZhai Valley in SiChuan or Yellow Mountain in Anhui is a good choice. if you want to learn Chinese culture,you can visit Beijing. hope my advice can help you. I'm from China^_^

I notice that you submitted the post one year ago. How do you like your trip in China? China is the third biggest country in the world and has the largest population. It has many regions where you could feel different cultures. If you don't have experiences of Do-It-Yourself tours and cannot speak Mandarin, you'd better take package tours. If you are interested in the history of China, Xian or Beijing is undoubtedly your first choice. If you wanna feel the modern China, I recommend you to visit Shanghai or Shenzhen.

You can go to Xiamen, in Fujian province. In there you can rent motorbike and explore xiamen. You can enjoy xiamen's unique scenery not only in the day, but also in the night. Take breather and walk beside Yundang lake in the evening and you can see how xiamen transforms into a different setting: lighted artistic scluptures, scent of the sea, and romantic lovers by the lake.

i am a chinese girl,and i think you can choose the places according your interests.china is a huge country.and its culture is diversified.for example,you can visit some old town in south of china if you like the antient culture of china.and if you want to experience the imperial culture ,you can go and see the peking forbidden city.wish this would be helpful.

Just from shows I've seen on television, I would say Shanghai would be a great choice. The food and culture seem amazing.
