I have my phone number since I bought my first cellphone and it's been long years already. Before I was able to upgrade my sim and still retains my number.I have lots friends knows my number already and lots of contacts also. But just last month I've lost my phone I think I drop when riding a motorcycle. My carrier is Globe now is there someone was able to regain his number again if you lost your sim card? Any help will be appreciated.

maybe it's possible. just go to your nearest globe center and report the case.. other users Filipino users does not report such cases much because they prefer to buy a new simcard than going to the network center, i think they prefer to lessen the time consumed. but in your case, maybe you should go.

Yeah I think I should go to a nearest Globe center here. I just need to get my number because I have lots of clients that knows my number and they are many. It's a hassle for me if I send all of them my new number because in the first place I don't have record of their number it's all in my lost phone.

I think you can ask Globe about that. I think if your on a postpaid plan then you can retain your number but if it is on prepaid account then you cannot retain your number anymore. Once it's lost it is really lost already. But you can always ask globe if they can regain back your number.

Yeah you are right I try to chat with them from their site and the operator says they can only retain a number from a postpaid subscriber unfortunately i'm not. Hope there will be a way. Thanks anyway.

if you are a postpaid subscriber then the answer would be an automatic yes, but as you said you have a prepaid account so I guess best to ask a globe telecom shop. but i did have a friend who had her phone snatched. she was using a prepaid sim and was able to retrieve that same number from globe. do try.

hi kryptoscode! It's been three years since you posted this, how was it? Did you get the same number even you were a prepaid subscriber back then?

I remember a friend telling me that as long as you have the case/card where the sim was attached when you bought the sim, the phone provider can give you your old number back. But if you're like me, that piece of plastic is long gone. This is one of the disadvantages of having our cellphone numbers attached to sim cards because if we lose our phone and our sim card, we would have to change numbers and inform everyone that we are changing numbers.

what i know is that you could retrieve your old cephone number though you have lost your sim. just go to your service provider, they could help you with that.

Hi,
Yes, it is possible to regain the same number. In our country you have to show a copy of your police complaint, which I assume you've already did, to the service providers outlet in order to get same number. They may charge you a nominal fee for that. In India, we call this report an FIR. This is essential as it is the only proof of the fact that you don't own that number anymore. With recently increased terrorist activities it has been given even more importance.
God bless you

where do you live, friend? here in my place it's really possible if we want to have a same phone number. all you need is only visiting the provider in which you subscribe your phone number. then you tell the truth and you want a new sim card with the same lost number. and the officer will help you to get a new sim card, and block your lost number so there won't be two same phone numbers with different holder. so you may visit the provider. ask the officer. they will help you.

I don't think you'll be able to regain your number because I haven't heard anyone who has regained their number after losing it. Your simcard as well as your number has a unique identity and I think they wont remake another simcard that has the same number considering the number of simcards from different networks are out now. All I know is its possible to activate your simcard when its deactivated you just have to contact your service provider.
You can still inquire at Globe if you really want to have it back and if its possible. That's the only way I think to have the true answer but in my own opinion it isn't really possible.
