Hi peace, What would be your take if your daughter does the same thing as you mentioned?Would it be boring?Actually it depends on your mood and situation. At office you couldn't help buttering the boss if you have to lift your position in some cases.

I agree with you, this is a society phenominen,in terms of you,if you need some help from sb,you will also treat him/her better than normal,it is a nature reaction! It is not a wrong thing that sb treat you well, what you should do is just distinguishing if you can help him/her!

I don't support actions like making a fake relationship.I-will-make-you-high sort of display and then forget who-the-hell-he-is!

yeah, i agree with you totally.if you ignore someone usually but some day you are really nice to him, just ask him to help you.do you think the person who will really help you?everyone likes the guileless person and would like to help the person who can be really worthy to helping. have a good weekend

I would tell them they can just ask me straight out in the future, that I don't care for the buttering up and there is no need. Are you hard to approach about such things? I wonder why she felt she needed to butter you up. Or is that just her way. If so I would be looking for other odd traits you may not be aware of.

You need to be aware and not let this happen to you again. Obviously it bothers you and she shouldn't be allowed to get away with this.

she butters me up then she ask me to check the data and give her a good grade.i dislike that she butters me up with a fictitious enthusiasm.it depends on whether she does a good job to get a good grade.i'd like the person tells me directly if he needs help.
