ohh, my paypal friend account was limited for about two weeks and paypal required him to pass the scan documents of his identity, but yesterday he received an email that his paypal account was to be close and his positive balance of 12,535 is to be held for 180 days. I asked him of any transactions he made for his account to be limited.
Advice mylotters, what he must do now?

Your friend is going to have to follow the direction from PayPal. Usually there is a little box to the left of the PayPal screen which will tell you what information they are needed clarity for whether it is personal identification, band info, or what have you. If the balance is at twelve thousand dollars, that is a lot of money and they are probably holding until all the funds have been investigated and cleared for that is an extremely large amount of money especially if it's in one lump sum... There are ways to contact PayPal too and ask them the status of the request but it is my guess that since the amount is so large that they are investigating the authenticity of it, which as a reputable company they should but PayPal has an outstanding reputation and they are not a fly by night company. They do not rip people off per say and your friend needs to follow the direction of what Pay Pal says he/she must do.
Hope this helped a little,
Kim

His only recourse is to carefully read the Terms and Conditions and to contact PayPal to try to resolve the issue. PayPal have very strict Terms and Conditions and if he has not complied with them in some way, then they have every right to limit or close his account.
The first and only possible thing to do in the case of trouble with an account, whether it is PayPal, a credit account, a bank account or whatever, is to COMMUNICATE. Unless one does that, there is NO chance of resolution.

Ask your friend to submit his id proof and address proof ,Is your friend is an free account or business ,if he has limited account ask him to verify his paypal account, then paypal will surely pay.Because paypal is the genuine online payment proccessor they will never cheat anyone, they may suspect your friend ,ask your friend to submit a proper document then paypal will automatically pay him.

Whoa what happened? Did he asked why paypal limited his account? He might have done something wrong for Paypal to do something like that. I suggest that he emails paypal to straighten things up.
