One of the world's most powerful earthquakes in a century battered Chile on Saturday, killing hundres of people. Haiti faced Same problem in month of january this year. ARe these types of natural disaster take us closer to 2012?

Birthday party. - A nice dress, candles with numbers (easy to blow at once) and balloons. My loved ones were there. The only "oldies" was the music.
Welcome to mylot, narenders! Chile is a country of earthquakes. If you check your geography you will see why. Check tectonic plates, Nasca plate, and so on. Every day we are nearing one more day to 2012. But I can tell you that big earthquakes are part of Chile´s history before anyone spoke of 2012. In fact, when I was younger, the world was going to end on 2000. It didn´t. Chile has the record of having the biggest earthquake recorded by modern means. It was in Valdivia in 1960. After that, the country had many more earthquakes. Lesser ones so they didn´t even make front page in other countries. This one did because it´s the 5th bigger (several times stronger than the one in Haiti). Don´t worry about 2012, but take care of poor Mother Earth. We, human beings, are the biggest predators since the world began. Have a good day!
