Cancer research has been taking your money for about 30 years.
Have they actually come up with a CURE?
Or are they still treating people with expensive drugs after all this time?
I wouldn't know how much has been spent on "Research" over all the years, but I imagine it would run into many millions.
Great for the big drug companies. Great for the research companies, but even the very wealthy people who can afford the best treatment that money can buy, are sadly still dying with Cancer.
Fact is. It can be cured for just $20 and no drugs.

Please - look up antibodies and cancer research. That's the big thing now - I should know, I'm researching it for a writing contract. Cancer research has raced on miles in a very short time - reason being, technology has improved to the point where scientists can look at individual protein molecules, encoded by genes, and see where mutations occur. These mutations are generally down to a protein pathway going wrong - block the relevant protein, and you block the mutation.
See, all cancer cells are ordinary cells gone rogue. For years we've been zapping them with chemo and radiotherapy - but that doesn't stop the mutation continuing elsewhere. Now we're hitting them where it hurts - in the sulphur bonds - we're getting results.
So for sure, cancer research works. Just as lightbulb research worked, back in the days when people got fed up lighting candles and gas lamps all the time ...

There are lots of reasons - UV light (not just from the sun) is one. Chemicals are another. but even rubber and plastics can cause it. Bacteria and viruses too. It's scary - when you see how vulnerable our cells are to malignancy, it's amazing we're not all suffering from tumours.
But cancer, i.e. mutated cells are forming in our bodies all the time - mutations are essential for evolution to occur, and we're in a constant state of evolution. Usually, something called apoptosis kills those cells off, but every now and then the mechanism goes wrong. Often, it's a genetically faulty gene that just makes itself known in this generation.
The more I find out about cancer, the more fascinating it becomes. But while living a healthy lifestyle will help, even the "cleanest" of us could end up getting cancer, just cos it's the "wrong time of the month." Or the day. Disturbances in circadian rhythms were recently shown to play an important part. How many health freaks get up at 3 in the morning for a wee cos of all the dandelion juice they drink?!
I'll get off my soap-box now.

Interesting reply Jazzsue58, thanks.
Of course, I agree that many things will will trigger the cancer.
I know that as your career is probably now in the interesting field of cancer research, we could never agree on all points because my view is that the research is going into so much depth, for the sake of research which needs people with University degrees and tons of technical equipment and so on.
If we look in a different direction like the Dr Hilda Clark's
research on Cancer, she proves beyond doubt that it can be cured very simply.
Even with people that have been written off by the medical profession.
Simple is very often best.
