Hey guys I need to buy a laptop and I don't know exactly what to get. Of course the first consideration is money so I'm hoping to buy something which is not too expensive but got good performance, durable, and handy. I need your help on this please maybe you can recommend a good brand for me. Thanks in advance.

hi! now i am using my cousin's laptop, which is not some famous brand, so that's why I am not going to recommend it to you. if you want something really good, not expensive, handy, you should look the 10.4" laptops from ASUS. they are really good and the prices are also good. if you want something bigger and powerful, you better look the ACER series, because they have some new models, for customers from the east-european countries, which means not so expensive ones :)

Hey guys - Dell, HP - what are you taking about?! This guy wanted a decent, but not expensive laptop, so if you want to buy good laptop and spend less money you could buy anything but DELL and HP's laptops - these brands are of the kind that care mostly for consumers with more money they have gorgeous models but these models are expensive as well.
The companies with good cheaper series are produced by brands like Acer and Toshiba. I've heard some bad things about acer laptops, but I have some friends that are happy with them. My laptop is from the Toshiba satellite series - a great performace for the money. A good choice is the model Toshiba Satellite L500-1U7
Still you don't say what's the purpose for buying computer - if you want to play the news PC games you should spent really more money for laptop.
There aren't companies that would combine expensive parts into their laptops and give them cheaper to consumer and lose money this way - everyone wants to get the top thing for great low price but people everyone wants to be paid well too...

If you ask me I would either go with dell or Hp/compaq. They both give you the option to custmize considering you aren't sure what you want. Knowing what you want it to do will help a lot too. At least when you browse for computers online, then everything that you need to know is right there in front of you. And, if paying full price is a problem there are always leasing options.

well i do not know your budget...but for quality and durability go for DELL. They have best customizing options on their website. Some decent performance for the average user: Processor-Core2Duo. RAM-3 to 6 GIG's. Depending on what type of system you want to run. 64-bit is becoming very popular now and supports more ram then 320bit.
