Well, I think we lost half of our team yesterday! Walker,Ward, Corvo, Yelle, Alberts, Reed and don't forget Cullen and Wallin before the break! Talk about cleaning house! At least we didn't lose Ray Whitney.
So glad games have started back. Going through withdrawal with my son not playing. He missed the playoffs so their team came in third. He was pissed to say the least! He did compete in the skills competition and won a medal for the fastest forward skater. The little stinker even played a shift in one of the games! I wasn't there so him, his Dad and the coach thought they would be sneaky! I was not happy about that. Skating with a broken arm in PeeWee hockey is a NO NO!! But, boys will be boys!
Bounce, I think you will like Andrew Alberts. He is a good, tough defenseman. He will be good for Vancouver. I'm going to Raleigh this morning to watch my boys skate before they play Ottawa tonight!
Sorry about the loss last night Jewels. Quite a game between Detroit and Vancouver!

Thank you both for the sympathy, but we all know the wings didn''t deserve a win last night. They did not even bring their B game. I guess they need to make the adjustment to all playing together again, the problem is they don't have the luxury of time to do so.
I can attest cane that it is boys being boys, I wasn't any happier when I found out mine played football while in a cast up to his knee!!

I was shaking my head when I read about the fire sale. I guess, the canes have really given up for this season.
Don't know much about Alberts. But I think he will be on ice on Friday against the hawks. Hopefully he sticks out, as we're still missing Bieksa and Mitchell.
That's a real hockey stud you got there. Getting a shift even with a borken arm. Sorry you got angry about that, but I bet it was a good consolation for him.
Sorry about the game jewels49. What can I say? Kesler was possessed last night. It was sort of a home-road game for him.
It was a nice touch of the wings organization to honor the olympic trainors before the start of the game.

Yep! You got Joe Corvo and Scott Walker and I think Walker just helped you guys beat Tampa Bay! He is one of my favorite players. Great character and a team guy. He use to be the captain at Nashville before he came to Carolina.
