should this worry fans for the summer or is this just something that happened because of injury and should just move on from it? I think it maybe a little cause for concern because the US looked sloppy in most of the game. What do you thinK

I think the result was about as everyone expected. Holland is a superior squad and they were at home. The US was missing several starters (Onyewu, Dempsey, Davies, Clark). I would have liked the US to get on the front foot a bit more and to have pressured Holland a bit harder, but it was about as I expected in the end. The Americans are going to be hard pressed to be successful in South Africa unless healthy and I think it is doubtful the squad will be. Onyewu wont be match fit. Davies is doubtful to play at all. Throw in a couple other injuries and the team is out in the opening round which will be a big disappointment considering it is a manageable grouping. www.soccermogul.com

I think it was not USA fault being sloppy , it was Holland is too overpowering . I had to admit they had great players that is playing in the top league around the world. USA is much more on basketball , baseball and football despite new zeland are the better ones lol.

Hi js35wake, There is nothing special about that result and most of the football fan around the globe would expecting it. It is a fair result. Netherlands has much higher standard then US and if you compare player by player for both team you can see the different. And you should not look at the friendly result before make any judgment about the team because in friendly games, the coach would try to use every player to look for a good combination to be used for the real competition. It is just another training session.
