Though most say it's proper to brush the teeth twice or thrice a day, I only brush once daily, before going to bed. I tried brushing more than once but I would get toothaches. I guess my teeth are sensitive with too much brushing. Even though I only brush once daily, I make sure I do it properly. That's when I stay at home all day by the way. But if I go to work, I brush before leaving home as well.

I think SESODYNE will help you because that toothpaste is for sensitive gums and teeth. You should brush your teeth at least twice because once is not enough. the bacteria will arise once you continue that way. Your breathe becomes uncomfortable.

I brush my teeth anytime I eat something, I know it's good for my teeth. Brushing your teeth will probably never be enough since the toothbrush does not clean our mouth 100% so it's always good to use also something else togheter after brushing our teeth

Yes mouthwash is the answer to keep our mouth pretty clean, what I have heard is that also brushing the tongue with a special brush can eliminate a good part of bacteria and prevents bad breath

the tongue must be brush also to remove the left substance and the bacteria on it. Once you do not brush the tongue for sure the breathe becomes polluted, hehehehe. please include the tongue during brushing.

I used to be a dental nurse, and I mostly worked with the hygienist. so oral hygiene is the part of dentistry I was working with most of all.
as well as keeping the teeth clean, it's important to floss the surfaces between them and a little below the gumline. some people lose perfectly healthy teeth because their gums aren't well looked after.

Many times for me too, like the rest of the people.. around 2-3 times per day. But whenever I want to go out, I need to brush my teeth too, even though I have already taken a shower prior and brushed my teeth. I feel like so fresh every time my teeth are cleaned like that..

brushing our teeth is one of proper hygiene because when our teeth are healthy we can smile confidently and comfortable with fresh breathe. Those people not properly brushing for sure their breathe is horrible, and they cannot smile confidently.lol.

I prefer to brush my teeth 3 times a day,i even floss them every day, brushing is not enough to achieve cleanliness of teeth, flossing is also advisable to cleans in between teeth that brush couldn't reached. So i brush my teeth every after meal or any food i intake which i know can cause tooth decay .Its also an advice from expert that we should visit our dentist twice a year to prevent and have our teeth check by an expert. We should take good care of our teeth and gums to have that healthy and lovely smile.
Happy myLotting!

Actually what i think is brushing your teeth twice or thrice is fine. But also check out those tooth brushes whichh you are using too, Because changing your toothbrush in about four to five months is important. As if the bristles of your brush having some problem, So this really can provide some real damage. I brush twice a day somtimes thrice too:).
Hope this helps...........

i like your advice. you are right we need to change our brush every 3 or 5 months because the bristles of brush that time has already damaged. So, that it cannot give your teeth 100% cleaning.

Yes, Thanks, this thing is needed to be mentioned because most of the people don't change their tooth brushes oftenly and in the result they get gums bleeding and other stuffs like that. Too much used brushes don't even clean your teeth as you said, and also they are hygienically very harmful to use. I hope this helps. Take Care (of your teeth) :)

normally three times a day brushing is enough to protect our teeth against bacteria and decay.we can protect also our teeth by visiting our dentist twice a month for check up and cleaning.

I brush my teeth twice a day. I'm sure brushing after every meal and before bed is the best thing to do. I guess I am too lazy to do that, though. I wonder if it is possible to brush your teeth too often? I think it is very important to take care of your teeth though, because an unhealthy mouth can lead to other diseases.

precisely, if you cannot do brushing frequently your breath becomes horrible and your teeth becomes unhealthy. laziness in brushing makes our life incomplete because how do you smile when you have horrible breath and unhealthy teeth.am i right?

three times a day is recommended. dentist used to tell me not to brush too much as theres also a side effect for too much fluoride. if you do then just use small amount. i see those who brush with flouride almost covering the whole brush, its alright if we did it three times a day only. they recommend to use dental floss instead as it can clean the teeth completely.

I only brush my teeth twice a day. I usually only use chewing gum after my lunch. I'm not sure who is right and how many times per day you should brush your teeth. I believe you should o it every time you feel you need it, but too many times a day may cause additional problems. Like your teeth may become more sensitive or your gums may be damaged.

I agree with that. 3 times a day brushing is good enough to protect our teeth from decay, plaque and bacteria.I suggest, better to used mouthwash instead of chewing gums to make your breathe fresh. Thanks for the response.

I brush two times a day. Once in the morning and then a night after showered or bathed. I think it's more healthy to do three but I am so busy I forget. :|

hahahahahahaha. you just need 1 to 2 minutes in your time to do brushing. some of us have the same thought for saying i am busy and don't have time to do brushing. we need to keep our teeth clean and fresh because we are dealing different people everywhere. if we are not brushing frequently for sure our breath becomes horrible.lol.

Once or none. And of course this is terrible. My dad almost has to get a new(fake though close to real and functional, not gold or filling) tooth and that costs about 12 thousand dollars in america for a good one. So I probably will brush my teeth more, but I have a medical prescribed Crest tube with a load of fluorides and much much more, things and I use Listerine mouth wash. That stuff burns hard but eliminates almost all plaque and bacteria in your mouth. I sometimes alos use a fluoride rinse.
I apoligize for commenting twice, I did not realize I left this window open and thought my comment did not get through.

if you are a non-vegeterian or eats lots of sweet stuffs, then i think it is a must that you brush your teeth after every meal. others can do with twice a day. brushing before going to bed is advisable.

I prefer brushing my teeth twice. Once, early in the morning after waking up from sleep, and once before going to bed. I have many people brushing the teeth after they wake up from sleep and it touches even four times a day. It acts as a mouth refresher.I think, its good brush twice.

Thanks from your recommendation. we have different point of view in this discussion. There is no wrong advice as long as you have better breath, and pretty teeth at the end of the day. Some people did not brushing often. So that their teeth was not complete and bad breath.

I am also brushing my teeth three times in a day. I brush early in the morning, after lunch and before going to bed. I think this is the most appropriate way of brushing our teeth. But, i had known a friend, who brushed her teeth almost every time, whenever she had ate anything. For me, it's quite difficult if we are to brush our teeth every time after we had ate something.

Everytime brushing is good but i think not practical. Thrice a day is most appropriate way of brushing. Avoid also too much fluoride because it is bad for teeth.

I brush three times a day too. Once in the morning, after lunch and than again before I go to bed. Back in the days before I became a stay at home mother I kept a toothbrush and toothpaste in my handbag so I could brush at work too. I have always made a huge effort to look after my teeth and it has paid off so far. At the ripe old age of 31 I have never had anything done to my teeth at all, no fillings...nothing and I'm very proud of that.

Nice to hear that. Some people invest more time and money for their teeth to make it better by putting retainer, braces and other accessories. However, when you are doing brushing since childhood properly for sure those accessories are not needed to make your teeth pretty.
