English is not my native tongue, either, sunny. But all I can say is that "learning by doing" is the best way to go. Do it as often as you get the chance because "practice makes perfect." I try to improve on my English by watching TV and listening to native speakers. As much as possible, I try to be around people who speak English and practice what I learned on them. I don't mind it when friends ask me, "Have you turned into a parrot?" We are taught English in school, but practicing what we learn is really more effective. From reading interesting novels, we get to pick up new words. Consulting the online dictionary and pronunciation guide on these, takes us even further. Making responses and starting discussions at mylot is a great opportunity to practice on our written English.
