hi friends. i am not talking about dinesh karthik but someone else. without this guy, tendulkar could not have scored 200 runs in that match and the man who forgot to appreciate. thats none other than MSD. if you had watched tendulkar's innings, you might have noted that after scoring 150,sachin looked a bit tired and it kinda reminded me of the test match against pakistan in india where he fell short of saving the game. i got more worried when he hit a quick bowler for a huge six over mid wicket. pathan got out when india were around 300 runs and if dhoni got out cheaply, there was no slogger available for us except raina. if that happened, tendulkar would have had no choice but to go for his shots even if he is dead tired and eventually got out. tendulkar scored around 10 runs in the last 5 overs of the innings but we scored more than 60 runs in the last 5 overs. so some credit must be given for Dhoni for aiding the master in creating a world record.

I can not imagine the most senior cricketer has stayed on the crease for whole 50 overs. And that too made 200 runs. Sachin has really a great staimna to stay so long at this age. any other batsman could have been tired and leave the crease to pavilion only just because he can not stay on the crease for 50 overs. But Sachin out little master, master blaster did it. and he stayed on crease for 50 overs and made 200runs. Also we have to appreciate Dhoni for stopping Sachin but not stopped the adding runs to the team.

That is a good observation. I do not think any one might have noticed so detailed thing as you have. It is not showing disrespect towards our captain, but it was Tendulkar who hogged the limelight and it was not to consider than MS was any less. You have also got the deatils for the runs and the total score right too. That was also in my head when I was seeing the match. Anyways, thanx for the post.

I don't agree your view that Dhoni played well than Sachin. You said that Sachin scored only 10 runs after 45-th over. But you look at the number of balls he faced. He gat only a few balls after Dhoni took over the game. Our Master is having such a great talent nobody can't still stop him know.I believe....

ya surely Dhoni supported sachin well to get the 200 towards the end sachin was becoming tired and not able to run as in the start. in that time dhoni helped sachin to regain his energy, by making more and more boundaries and giving sachin less strike. i felt that sachin needed rest at that time and dhoni gave it with his thoughtful and powerfull innings. because sachin was tired for playing 40+ overs and the immediate effect of quick scoring in batting power play. sachin joined dhoni with some good strikes in the start of partnership and then regained the energy when dhoni faced more balls. initially i thought that sachin wil struggle if dhoni is the partner, because dhoni has a tendency of converting 1s to 2s and 2s to 3s. he always push the partner for two. but fortunately dhoni played sensibly to get sachin the 200* with ease. it was well composed partnership with good understanding and moreover the good respect to the master blaster by the indian captain. the most amazing thing in the partnership was that it reached 100 runs in quick time. i was surprised that how this partnership reached 100 mark.
