why do people respond, if they don't understand the topic?

Let me tell u friend, people might not be aware that they have not understood the topic. According to their understanding level, they might have understood(Rightly or wrongly) and responded. If their understanding is not correct, u may feel they have responded wuthout understanding. Besided same topic / wordings can be perceived differently by different people depending on their intelligence! Yes u r at liberty to Rate them negative, if you wish so. I normally do not rate negative. I rate positive if I like the response, else the response remains without any rating. Take it easy, will be my suggestion.

Hi smita, It is a common problem among some members; they are in a hurry and don’t want to read the content and giving their answer by reading the headline. I have seen many times people have given some weird answers. But rating them is whether to rate positive or negative is in your hands only. Rate them negative only when you strongly feel so, otherwise it will reduce your own ratings too. I think you can take it in a cool way and it will benefit you too.

that happens to me also. maybe they just read the title without going into details. sometimes its quite annoying but i dont rate it as negative eventhough some people rate my responses negative even how constructive it is.

Loo at the response and say politely that they weren't relevant. Why mark negative, unless their remark is obnoxious. I don't remember to have marked negative for any one!

I think every people want to earn here,. more money..o it is not matter for them they understand or not that discussions,... but they want to reply that discussions.. have a nice day and keep mylotting always..

To tell you the truth I have not got many responses to my discussions and I usually only respond to discussion which really interest me. I usually make it a point not to give a negative rating but then it depends actually on how annoyed or irritated I am at that time.
