Why peoples lie to themselves?

Any excuse we give is an excuse for us only, it does not even bother others, so why we fool ourselves, why we lie ourselves?

CAUZ THEY ARE AFRAID OF TEKING RESPONSEIBILITIES...AND ARE NOT CONFIDENT TO FULFILL IT...

Could be because we ourselves are the one person that , for sure, will believe what we say.... just a theory :)
