Whom do you think the Best openers in Cricket ?

Every team should have their best openers.Really openers should be good for a team to lead the match.If they gave a good start lot of confidence will come to other players.We can say that they are also game changers.In my opinion I think Sachin and Sehwag are the best openers for India.If we took other team I will say Hayden and Gilchrist for Australians.I believe that these two pairs are the best for ever.And nowadays Sehwag and Gambhir are also doing well for India.But Overall I say Sachin and Sehwag are the best in opening.This is my opinion.What do you think about this..and whom do you tell as the best opening batsmen..?

I think for India it is ganbhirand Shewag.
they know wach other very well.
they plays opening slot in rebji and ipl also ,its very good to have the same patner in the opening slot in all forms of cricket.
In earlier days it was sachin and ganguly.
For other team I will choose Hayden and Gilly.

The greates openers that I have seen is Sachin and Ganguly.This openeing players were a great threat even to the world's best bowlers.I think they ruled the world in their times.But now I am seeing such a pair that can compete with this pair is Sachin's and Sehwag's opening pairs.They have the classic touch of a 'MASTER' and 'CLASSIC DESTROYER' which can shattle any world class bowling....

as one of my fellow mylotter said the opening stand is the most important thing for a team.if it is a 50 to 100 run partnership,they have a good platform for the other players and even if one of the 2 stays a lot longer playing the big innings,it helps the team a lot.the problem with sehwag is longevity.he can go beserk at any time. so i always prefer sachin and ganguly because both of them concentrate on timing rather than brute power and it shows the number of century partnerships they put together.
ofcourse if you ask me who is the opner i fear,definetely matty hayden.

Ya, you are right.Sehwag has no patience.He seems to hit all the balls to the boundaries and not even singles.In an interview also he said that Sachin will tell him that be slow sometimes if we had a good start then we can move on.But he can't do like that , he said.It is only Sachin can be with patience..somewhat like that he told.I miss Sachin and Ganguly opening.

Hello Gany,
I find Sachin and Ganguly to be the best ever. They were such an exciting package of entertainment whe both of them used to go at the bowlers. They were even compared with haynes and Grinedge of WI. Though I have never seen the two WI greats batting live but I am fourtunate enough to see the Indian version of the two. Sehwag is no doubt one of the greatest of all time but I would rather prefer Ganguly and Sachin.
Especially when they used to give a hard time to the opposite captain as he had to change his fielding tactics because of the left and right combination.

Hi gany, Like you my favorite pair of openers are Sachin and Sahwag, I recognize sachin for his dedication, concentration and passion towards the cricket for last twenty years but I like sahwag for his way of playing, in my opinion he and yuvrajsingh are only two players in indian team who can change the game in few minutes. I can spend every single moment to watch batting them.

i think india is having a very good opening combination in both tests and odis . in odis sehwag and sachin are doing a very good job . while in tests sehwag and gambhir are playing well . i dont think that their is any other good opening pair these in the cricket now . many teams have a good opener but they dont have a good combination. at the moment sehwag and gambhir is the best .

Openers are indeed special because they give a good start to the team which will make the other players job easy. I have got so many good players in the back of my head right now. Hayden and Gilchrist, Tendulkar and Sehwag, Jayasuriya and Kaluwithrana amongst others... It's very hard for me to pick a couple of them as I have seen so many cricket. I remember watch Jayasuriya being the first to show the world that opening batting should be aggressive. I also like his style of batting and his passion for cricket so, I would go for Jayasuriya and Kalu.

Sehwag and Sachin,
Yes, Sehwag and Sachin is the best openers in Cricket. This is what I feel now. But I would prefer Sachin and Sorow Ganguly to open the innings. Sachin and Ganguly pair is really good and I feel very bad that Ganguly is not in the team. Anyway but now I would prefer Sachin and Sehwag to open the innings.

If you ask me for the past i agree with u that hayden and the gilchrist are the ghost rider openers of the australian . With this pair only australia team remain in top for many years..but talking about now...so i think sehwag and sachin is the best of best opening pair...have a nice day...

hello!in circket history the number one opening batsman in world circket history is in india sehwag and scahin is called as master blaster master is scahin and blaster is sehwag in one of the two great batsmen sehwag in ground 20 overs match turn over how much big targets in world i think sehwag is dangerous and simply posionus batsman in world the best batsman in world
