Do you believe that there is an after life after death?

Whilst I do believe in heaven and hell as a Christian, I am not so sure that the two places are entirely distinct. My personal belief is that it is more like one place with two districts, one paradise and one the worst place you can imagine. My reason for believing this is that I have seen too much from personal experience to believe we don't just cease to exist. Also from a scientific point of view, there is electrical activity in the brain. This energy has to have come from somewhere (energy cannot be made) and has to go somewhere (energy cannot be destroyed) which leads me to believe that the energy has to go somewhere else.
