You have the feeling like you have already seen what is happening at the exact moment, some people say it happens because you remember that from you past life, but let's put all fantasies apart and let's talk seriously about it. Science has explained it well. There are two kind of memory in our brain, the short term memory and the long term memory. When the informations are put in the long therm memory you will remember it for a very long time and that's the case when you remember someone's name of one of your childhood memories. The short term memory works only for those information that do not need to stay in your brain for a long time, and you will forget them in a short time. So a Deja vù it's a mistake that your brain makes, instead of putting the informations in the short term memory they are put for a few seconds in the long term, and that gives you the feeling you have already seen it, then it goes away as soon as the error is corrected. Pretty fascinating isn't it??
