About Movies

My favorite type of ending is a surprised ending. From Psycho to Usual Suspects and every other surprised ending in between. I love it when you reach the end of the film and you have the feeling you Need to see the film again to see the clues you missed the first time. I don't like tacked on happy endings. I rather see a sad and meaningful ending than a fake happy one.

there are make happy and feel good movies, ones that end on a good scene and impart a happy ending. but there are also movies that may you feel wanting for more in the end. and others having tragic endings. for me, any ending is good, so long as it is the logical ending to the entire story and gives the moviegoers a good parting shot. movies are meant to entertain in a visual art form, but movies should never distort their endings so that moviegoers get what they expect.

I like movies that catch me right at the beginning hate to keep watching then it gets ya close to the end

I would prefer happy endings because I'm a happy person most of the time. However, sad endings would be all right if it contributes a lot to how good the story of the entire movie is and if it makes sense to do that sad ending to avoid plot holes.

Hi ET28LV, I like a movie that has a good plot and has an unexpected ending, although a lot of what I watch I could have wrote the script for I think there are very few movies that really surprised me and one thing I do not really like is a nice sweet sticky happy ending, it just seems a bit obvious.

I'd like to watch movies that ends with neither a happy ending nor a sad ending,rather a movie that offers the audience to think over what could be the end while coming out of the hall.Because I personally feel a flat end either happy or sad doesn't belong to the people watching the movie.A movie should offer everyone to take part as a director,as a actor,and as a viewer and thinker.It'd leave a message to the public.2012 gives the audience a message not to disrupt the balance of nature.

I like movies that end with a twist. Something so completely unexpected that you cannot figure out the ending at all, or an ending which leaves you wondering what will happen next.

Hi, ET28LV. I like to watch a movie that always has a happy ending. If it does not have a happy ending, I will have a bad felling after I have watched the movie. And, I don't like to feel like that either. I like to feel good when a movie is over and done with.

just like in real life, i would like to have a happy ending movie story. i have seen a lot of movies, from action to drama, horror and love stories. what i hate are movies with endings that you have to think what could be the ending? kinda confusing?

I like all movies to end with a happier ever after type. That is why I love the black and white movies more so. Most would have happy ending with the villian being killed or a couple finding love and getting married.

i like movies a lot and i like the endings which are most possible in the real life situations if its not a fantasy movie . or else i will always be happy with the happy endings in case of fantasy stories . but certain movies are good only because of the bad or sad endings they have ,. i will happy if the climax is suitable for the movie thats all .

hi! of course I prefer the happy endings, but sometimes I just feel the need of some different ending- sad or tragical, so just to be more interesting, because we all are accustomed with the happy endings and no matter what will happen we know and wait for some happy ending. but when it doesn't have some happy ending we just feel the need of watching the next part if there is some of course

Since I don't like horror movies and rarely watch them, and prefer romantic comedies or comedies, I like happy endings. Even in drama, which I do watch, I like a happy ending. Life already presents us with too many unhappy endings, so when I go to a movie, I want to be uplifted, happy, laughing, etc. If I want an unhappy ending, I can stay at home and watch the news.

Call me sappy but I can't resist a movie that has a happy ending to it. Life has enough horrors and bad endings that I would rather see the movies I watch have good ones. That is how I am..I like comedies mostly anyhow..and it would seem weird if they didn't have happy or at least decent endings..where the good guy always wins..

The best movie endings are the ones that keep you thinking. Like great discussions on ending possibilities on your way to the parking lot of the movie house. Specially if you can come up with your own possibility. It doesn't matter if it is happy or sad, or fatal. As long as it is logical and thought-provoking.
