I'm definitely a book person when it comes to reading. I prefer softcover books over hardcovers not only for the price, but the feel of the read. If its a hardcover, I feel like its almost like a textbook and it creates a different type of atmoshphere. When it comes to e-books, I find myself loosing intrest fast because at work I stare at screens all day anyway, so it feels like a chore. I have started spotting those mini e-book computers - they are only for reading and hold multiple books and are designed for travel. Great idea, but not for me.

Me too! I prefer paper back, even though hardcover is better to keep it in good condition. but im soo careful about keeping my books in good condition anyways. soft cover is just more comfortable to read i think. i agree, e-books are good in theory. thankyou for commenting! :D

I'd pick books over computer everytime! I like to get comfy on the couch with a cup of tea and a blanket. When I'm holding a book I can curl up and relax. Holding a laptop just doesn't appeal to me, I'd spend more time trying to find a comfy way to hold the thing and that would distract me from the story.

Thankyou for your response! I agree, books allow readers to be more comfortable than a laptop, no matter how convenient they are. And it also affects the mood of reading I think. The crisp pages make me want to think about what I'm reading, while the bright screen doesn't keep my interest the same way.

Hi frozenfire,
I prefer to read from books rather then staring the computer. I only read the news from computer because I can not find it in books or newspapers. I also do not like to read the long articles. I can not concentrate.
When we read from the book or newspaper, we can do it free style, sit, stand or what ever style you like. Its more free. And you can do it anywhere, train, bus, while walking or even in the toilet.

I agree, i rather read from a book, but read the news online. :) Now laptops make using the computer more convenient, so you can take it outside or on the bed.
