Have you ever realized you didn't love someone as much as you thought?

Have you ever broken up with someone and realized they didn't mean as much to you as you thought they did? I just keep going through things like Luis knew all my secrets, Alok didn't, Luis and I had special songs, Alok and I didn't, I just think about it and Alok was my first bf after Luis. I felt so sad after he left but now I wonder if part of that was still mourning over the lost of my first true love. I don't think I loved Alok as much as I thought because I never listened to him when he would say 'talk to luis less' or 'why are you going to pick him up' 'why are you lending him money' 'why do you still talk to his mother'. I just tuned him out, nothing ever seemed as important as my past. I liked him a lot but looking back I don't think I loved him that much....
Have you ever broken up with someone and felt that way?

I really don't know what is true love. Maybe mutual understanding is essential

Yeah it always happens to me towards someone or the other way round. I somehow lose interest or the feelings just gone after some period of time. Its not that i want to be in that position but it just happens. After some time you've been with that someone, you may see the side of him that you don't like/accept, you end up losing interest. If you were to accept it, the love would stay. That's what i thought. Maybe your past's feelings is still much stronger than the recent one.
