When does racism go too far?

My fiancee works at a casino and in Poker and Blackjack, they use chips instead of money..
The $1 chip is white
The $5 chip is red
The $10 chip is blue
The $25 chip is green
The $100 chip is black
So instead of saying, "I bet $5"...players commonly say "I bet a red".
Well...
A group of African Americans went to the manager of the casino and complained that the usage of the word "black" to represent a chip is derogitory.
And now the employees are no longer allowed to say the chips by their colour.
When does the cry for racism go to far? Why can't a colour just be a colour?
Am I wrong to think this is so silly?

what happened if someone win $100 and they will shout "i bet a black" 
and since they are black they felt so humiliated with it knowing their color so maybe the management must avoid the color black in chip then and choose another color for that. anyway, black are still very sensitive thinking people still look at them as what they are before though people now a days already change and become so wide with their perception with different races. so i guess they must also think that they really belong and forget about the past. we are all human anyway.

I definately see your point about the "I bet a black"....but I would understand more if black was the $1 chip and white was the $100 chip, but infact it is the complete opposite...
The black chip is the highest valued chip in the casino...yet a complaint was still made.
I just think it is going too far....

and also one thing if someone bet $1 which is white and someone shout "i bet a white" but im sure no one will react coz they know that the winning person is not referring to human race but the games, as white people really dont took it very personal and since they have wide perception since they never been humiliated before. in my own opinion, most racist are actually those who are mix bread and not really pure. anyway, lets just respect each of us. happy mylotting to all.
