yes bowling department is the weakest part of indian cricket team the reason is the indian cricket pitches... this pitches are made for the batsmen..so there is no bounce..

If this department improve then it will be the strong team of cricket...yeah! the pitches where Indian bowler practicing is not so bouncing that we see in other countries pitches..so Indian bowler doesn't have experience how to ball in that bouncing pitches...thanks friend for your nice response...have a nice day...

I sort of partially agree with you but, what exactly should a bowling department do in your opinion? Which team do you think has a best bowling department? No team in my opinion. Teams have done massive scoring even against Australian bowling, South African bowling and against everyone else... It's all about the "application" on any given day... sum it up with the batsman's form on the day. Luck also plays a little factor when it comes to bowling. We have Zaheer Khan in the fast bowling department an Harbajan Singh in spin department to start with. Some teams don't even have a spinner like Harbajan's caliber. Again, Zaheer Khan is a great fast bowler. Ishanth is still young and improving each and every game he plays in. Shreeshanth seems to be good in tests. I think our bowling strength is decent enough to compete with International sides and shall be compared equally with other International playing nations. Any improvement to the current bowling strenght is always welcome. All we need to focus in on is the fielding. But since you can't field excellent over-night, this should be given much importance and try to improve that a bit.

I don't think that the bowling department is only responsible for the loss.Equally all the department pay for that. And it is not a good practice to blame a particular group. If you lost the game not the one but the whole team is responsible for the loss.we also have won many games which has a great role played by the bowlers. And now we are having top bowlers like Zaheer,Harbhajan,Ishant,Sreesanth and so on.They are the best bowlers available in our country now.If they can't then who can do it????

Yes ,I completely agree with you.Our bowling department is not at all good.Only Zaheer is doing good in pace bowlers.Spinning is not bad.Bhajji,mishra...doing good. The Indian pace bowlers just reaches 130 kmph or maximum 135 kmph.It is really bad.Just with the swing we can't do better. We need some pace in our bowling.Australian or South African bowlers are very good.Zaheer is not getting good company at all.The selectors should take this serious.Hope our players will improve.
