I always have to wake up with the help of my alarm clock.Without it,I will surely be late most of the time at work.There are even times,that I will just turn it off by the time it rings and then get back to sleep.I could really say that I badly need the help of the alarm clock in order to wake up while my friends say that they don't need one.I was surprised at hearing that.And then they even added that their body would just wake up automatically in time that they should.That fact truly impressed me.I wonder how many of you here are alarm clock dependent or you have a built in alarm clock within your body.Care to respond friends.

Hey friend,
It's amazing but true that I also don't need any alarm clock. I can automatically wake up at which time I wish to wake up before sleeping. It's not a impossible task.
Have a great day.

It's good you can wake up by yourself.Though with a sleep craver like me,that would be a difficult task to break such a wonderful sleep.So an alarm clock or a small bomb has to wake me up(smiles).

I also depend my waking hours on alarm clock too. if I will not setting the alarm I will be surely late for work on the next day. However, sometimes or constantly I should say I always adjust the time of my alarm clock because I am so tired to wake up in the morning. And I guess that is really bad because you are not being true with yourself. When I was in college, I don’t have alarm clock. Like your friends have experienced I usually wake up at the exact time or much near to the time allowance I have to wake up. That is between 5am to 6am. I sometimes woke up late that results to me being late at school. There are people who doesn’t need alarm clock at their body already know what time they wake up for the next day, my father is like that and me also before. At the office, we usually sleep at 12pm lunch until 1pm. I do not set my alarm for that, as I can instantly wake up before 1pm to get back to work. Maybe it has something to do with their body system.

Being late at work is unprofessional, but I admit I am late sometimes . What we need is to not develop a habit of adjusting the time when the clock alarms!

Being late for school or work is bad especially if the reason is merely oversleeping.The best remedy is setting the alarm clock.That's invented to aid us so it's just suitable that we make use of it.

I have the worst time waking up in the morning. The summer hasn't been too terribly bad for me because we don't have to wake up as early as we have to do during the school year. I've been able to do it just with my alarm clock during the summer. However, school starts back next week and I know that I'm going to have to depend on a variety of things to make sure that my daughter is able to get to school on time. This will be the alarm clock, alarm on my phone and also a phone call from my mother in the morning.

Wow! You've got more of an alarm clock friend.That would only mean that you're a sleep craver like me.Be sure not to be late then knowing that being late means being your kids be in trouble at coming late for school.

I do use an alarm clock to help me wake up in the morning. But at the same time, i would have to be woken up by someone, on few occasions.

Oh waking up because of someones noise.That one I would really dislike.Imagining myself as a real sleep craver.If someone wakes up ahead of me and my alarm clock and start to make noise which disturbs my sleep, oh I'd be in for a moody and lazy day.

I use both!
I always set an alarm on my mobile phone if I have to get up early for something, but I always tend to wake up about 5 mins before the alarm!
How odd is that?
@dragonangel (551)

Using both means keeping safe Dumper.If the other one fails then the other one will do its appointed use.We don't want to miss our appointments right.We have the alarm clock or the mobile phone alarm then, we could make use of it.

sometimes i use an alarm clock if it is an important day, and i need to wake up really early to get ready. but most of the time, i use a body clock, which automatically wakes me up at a good time.

How important the appointment is the gauge of how we get up on time.We don't wanna be late for a special appointment and miss something big.

I used an alarm clock when I had a job and needed to wake up very early. But then I noticed that when I went to sleep repeating to myself that I need to wake up at a certain hour, I woke up at that precise hour, sometimes one or two minutes before the alarm clock or cell phone rang. It is an amazing thing to be able to use your brain as a clock timer such as the one in the TV to wake you up in the morning!

That's nice to know that you could wake up way before the alarm goes off. Though it's a good thing to set it on alarm also just in case your body wish to leep in more.The alarm clock will have to break the sleep and warn us that we have an appointment to attend to.

hi dragonangel..
i really don't put any trust at any alarm clock. you why because i have this habbit of waking up 1 minute before the clock rings. i don't know why, but maybe the reason is that i get too excited or anxious about the schedule especially when there is a responsibility attached to it. anyway, here's an advice, waking up early depends on the sleeping pattern of our body, so you better break the old habbit of being so dependent of someone or something to wake you up and better start a habbit that changes your sleep pattern. if you like you could follow it or whatever. but i think being dependent won't make you any better. i'm just saying, no offense.
bless you..

You're right at saying that jwizard, being dependent on something won't get you any better.But you see, technologies arises to help us , so it is just right for us to make use of it to improve our life right. Of course sleeping in is nice and enticing for us , so the alarm clock can help us break it so as we could be on time with any appointment we might have.But with your built in body clock, so much the better.

Now a days it has become habit to wake up as per my daily schedule but I do use alarm to wake up in the morning. There has been occurrences when because of my alarm I could not reach my office on time. I have a habit to wake up by 7 am and leave for the office by 8. It is in the mind, If I decide not to use alarm definitely I will be able to wake up without it but it has become a habit and there is no harm so continuing with that.

Yes, there definitely is nothing wrong with using product of technology to make our life safer and better.With the alarm clock, then we are aided and guarded on not to sleep in and not to miss special or ordinary appointments.

I have to use an alarm clock in order to get out of bed for work. Even though I use one, I still end up hitting the snooze button a few too many times because my body is not ready to get out of bed. If I didn't use one odds are I would end up waking up much later than I should.

And sleeping in means becoming late for work or school or any other appointment which is really bad. So better yet, be safe and use the alarm clock.We do have it then let's make use of it.

for me, the body clock works perfectly, dragonangel. like clockwork, i wake up around five o'clock in the morning, unless of course i had a long night before that. i usually hit the sack between nine and ten in the evening. and at around five, i am already up and about, starting with some writing and updating my schedules, also listing what i did the day before. then, i open my dogs cages and play with them for at least thirty minutes, after which i sweep the surrounding of dry leaf and other dirt, before watering the plants. no meetings, i take a leisurely breakfast, then go back to my writing.

You seemed to have a wonderful and relaxing time bystander.And as you wrote, you're waking up earlier making you do many things even at an early hour of the day.Makes me think about a saying that early birds have the chances to get more worms to eat.

I use my mobile phone alarms for wakeup in morning but i always wake up on time just 2 or 3 minutes before the alarm start ringing. My grandfather told me that your sleep and hunger must be in your own control then you can live a a healthy life so i always keep both things according to my plans.
@dragonangel (551)
•
13 Aug 10
Wow your grandfather is real disciplined then.I'll have to try keeping my sleep under my own control rocky since I can already have my hunger in control.That's nice to know.

Hi dragonangel! When I used to have to wake up to go to work
the same time everyday I would usually be awake long before
the alarm ever had to wake me up! There were a few times that
I would fall back to sleep and jump up when it did go off!
I always hated being awakened by an alarm clock! I was happy
at least when they made them to wake you up to music at least!
@dragonangel (551)
•
13 Aug 10
That's right Opal, a music alarm would help us set the mood for the day also. That's the reason I would really choose to set my cell phone alarm where the music is pleasing and could make me smile when it awakens me. The usual alarm clock won't give us that.

Hi dragon, I do use an alarm clock to wake me up in the morning because I'm a heavy sleeper. I usually allot an hour before the time that I really want to get up. If I need to be up at 7, I usually alarm at 6 or 5:30, I used to turn the alarm off and extend the alarm for 5 or 10 more minutes. I love sleeping LOL!!
@dragonangel (551)

Hello chiepao! So you're sleeping back when you hear your alarm. You know that would only mean that your waking up for something that is not really urgent. If ever you wake up for something that is really of great importance then you won't dare sleep back, but instead get up and prepare and dash on to your agenda.

Only if I have a DR appointment or something.... I am permanently disabled so I do not have to wake up a certain time.... I am doing school online and I do online work for extra money.... My disabilities make me range with odd hours so sometimes bedtime may be 9pm or 4am

That's admirable of you hagirl. Imagine even with your condition you still are eager to study online and at the same time work for extra money. I wish you good luck in all your endeavors!

Hi dragonangel, I also use cephone alarm to wake up me in the morning, and I even should set two alarm at different time to wakr up me, I always sleep late and dont want to get up, even the first alarm ringing around me I will shut it without any hesitate, so the second one should be away from my bed, and i will only have a long walk to shut it off..it' s very bad, maybe it's due to the cold weather in my city
@dragonangel (551)
•
13 Aug 10
Exactly redstard, cold weather makes us crave more to sleep in. It's good you have the alarm set in two different hours. That would come as a habit already and will make you feel better waking up on the second alarm.That would make you think that you're sleeping more.I wonder if what's the interval of your second alarm?If one hour it's fine but if 10 minutes that would be so soon.(smiles)

Yeah we have to be sure that we won't get late in any appointment we might have.It's just right to set the alarm clock even if we know we could wake up naturally.
