Define friendship

This is very true. I agree with it. But I would like to add that friendship is something where one need not speak too much or meet often to reinforce for cementing the relationship. Like, if you have been really good friends even if you meet after years it is as if you had just met the previous day, and are meeting normally today. I have at least two such examples in my life- one a childhood friend, and the other a college time friend. Similarly one need not resort to some kind of verbal diarrhea to say that a friendship is very close. I have been told of such a close friendship by one of my present colleagues as having existed between his father and his colleague/childhood friend! Now contrast this with the so called, man-woman relationship which one generally calls "love". It needs constant tending like a garden, you need to water it with appropriately chosen gifts, entreaties, too frequent acknowledgements, and so on. In simple terms you have to be constantly working at it. Thus it is more like farming!

Friendship is the most sacred relationship. It is the support of life in fact. Without friends and without friends, and we put out a candle. Friendship is the stability of the soul, is the source of wealth, health, love. Friendship is the feeling rarely met, but such are friends in life, like pearls are strung into a necklace. Life needs friends.

friends and friendship are 2 different things.you can have millions of friends but not friendship.for me,friendship is something that's very valuable and you can only share it with someone that you feel connected to.either it last or not,it REALLY depends on both of you.. friendship or not friendship,sincerity and happiness gained measure that..^__^

i think there is no definition. you can have many colleagues but those colleagues who care for you and think to do good for you. who help you in bad time are friends. there are no words really good or bad friends. bad friends are those people whom you know but they are not your friend. friends are always good.

leaving other point if we discuss on the last one then we find that till the end of the life friendship is not proved. Perhaps you know the famous dialogue of the pronoun drama Julius Caesar. You too Brute..... Last dialogue to Brutus. Brutus was the closest friend of Julius Caesar. And he also betray with Julius Caesar at the final moment. So you are correct that it took 1 life to prove.
