hi there my lotters.. i got a big problem my computer totally busted and my technician said that i need to buy some parts but that would be very difficult for me because most of the parts of my computer are already phased out. before my pc get totally busted i just had problem w/ the memory card. the technician said that i need to buy (ddr1 memory pc200 or up) and when i try too look that kind in some store they told me that its already phased out because the memory available now is DDR2 already.. luckily i still found the thing that i need. then after two days another problem again. my video card is not working grrrrrrrrr.. and now i think i need to buy a new one.. filled w/ good and latest parts. but i still dont have a budget to buy a new one and the saddest part is i miss mylot and some of the site that i used to visit everyday...
what can you say about this situation of mine..right now im just using my computer here in the office but this is not allowed but i cant help my self not to visit mylot..

Your's is a problem which every individual will face at some stage..with the rapid advancement of technology what is new today will be old tommorrow..however,you said that you managed to find memory in a store so why don't you look out for the video card in the same place.I loke to mention that there are sites in the interney where you can get most of the computer parts that you need and the name of the site is e-bay.It is an auction site and so if luck favours you then you may be able to bid at a base price and manage to own that particular spare part at a small price..give it a try..and while doing so I will ask you to gradually upgrade your computer..you can start with your processor and motherboard first..buy them from the internet or from a store, then you can go for memory and hard drive and then dvd or blu ray..just phase it out.

yeah i manage to find that face out memory on that store.. but i dont think that its more wise for me to buy a new video card ( old model) w/c i do not know if how long the other parts will stay alive and kicking.. all i know most of the parts are all qualified for "INTENSIVE CARE UNIT" heheheheheh
FOrtunately i have now my new pc now... i didnt spend that much money because im the one who picked and choose the parts of my pc.. and what i love most is my monitor ..its a 19" LED monitor :)) and my cpu is faster now ..happy mylotting

Just get a mac which will (probably) last for 5-7 years :D My computer is 7 years old and I can chat surf and do almost anything on it. The only problems are that it doesn't play new games anymore :( But I am going to buy a super effective Mac which will hopefully last for many many years...

your problem seems difficult, why don't you look for used video card, how about cyber cafe, sometime i went cyber cafe too, even though i've got pc (sometime unusable..emm often i think, it's an old pc desktop) and laptop, also old(with broken monitor hinge) which i used everyday, i always dream to have a new one but budget is tight.

Now a days it is much cheeper to buy a new computer. As parts start going out that will usually start to cost more then you paid for the thing. Now they have mini laptops that are just about 200 bucks. And even if you can't afford that if you have decent enough credit, you can pay it off in monthly installments. That will usually solve the problem of replacing the computer.
Parts aren't easy to come by anymore and quite often aren't worth the cost.
