The Best Short Series Anime You've Watched

I'm talking under a normal long season which is 23 or more episodes long. So the anime is 19 episodes or shorter for the whole series. I have not seen a lot of anime that are that short for the series it's self, but was wondering if anyone had a high recommendation for a series like that. One series that is 6 episodes long (though I have heard rumors of a second season) that I think the pot is a master piece is the anime Time of Eve.

Generator Gawl. It's a Great series and one of my personal favorites. It's out of print but worth getting.

short animes like skip beat and special a are also good ones... ouran high school host club is also one of those funny and romantic anime... hmm... there are other more but i can't recall the titles... ^_^

^I agree with saizo6, Full Metal Panic!: Fumoffu is one of the best Short Series out there. Another one is K-ON!. It consists of 12 episodes along with 2 special episodes. There's a new season for this anime and the first episode is already out, though i'm not sure how long it is going to be. I also recommend Nijuu Menso no Musume and Tokyo Magnitude. I can't exactly remember how many episodes Nijuu menso no musume has, but for Tokyo Magnitude, it has only 11 episodes.

OVAs are usually short anime series, but lots of good works are coming from them.
My favourites are Gunbuster 1 & 2, Gainax always got the hottest girls and coolest mechs.
Blue Submarine #6 is another great work, it was the first of its kind to use CG rendering.
Devil May Cry has made into a animated series, although with ony a dozen episodes it was a pretty good game adaptation. Talking about game adaptations, another short series I like is the Tales of Eternia, it brings the exact feeling of characters and fighting style into a brand new subplot, which fits nicely in the overall story.
I wonder what was the 6 episodes series you were talking about, maybe I have seen it, maybe I haven't, if you got the name it would be great (or maybe it was the Gunbuster series? which also had 6 episodes,and it already had a second season).

FLCL is one of the greatest animes of alltime in my opinion and it is only six episodes long.
Another favorite of mine is Elfen Lied and it is also a very short series.
I like alot of longer series, but I think s oemtimes the shorter ones are better because they leave more to the imagination.
