Surrounding or Upbringing...?

What is more responsible in the success of a person is it the upbringing of a person or is it ther way the person looks around in his sorrounding? People who are much more from a well to do family with good upbringing and nice background are seen to be extravagent whereas the people from good sorrounding and normal family or not so well family are also good and vice versa.... I sometimes wonder what seems to turn down the most. Is the upbringing of a person a matter of being successful ? Or is it the Surrounding in which he has been brought up ? or is it the way they percieve the environment ? or is it only the good values given by parents ?

In a perfect world we all have money and success. However, this is reality. In reality we are not all the same so the things people teach their children vary. In my opinion the success of a person is based on the morality that you teach your children. Money is nice but its not a must to be successful. You cant buy being a good person. I teach my daughters that its important to be able to hold your head up high. You do this by being a good person, helping people with no expectations or being reimbursed, working for success, etc. Depending on where you live, the traditions may be different. If you are from an inner city, you may have seen some things that people in the country havent even heard of. All in all no matter where you live or are from, being a success is still based on being kind, respectful, and tolerant. Very basic. dl

I believe that every person has genetic traits that will affect his or her future as well as the way he or she was brought up and along with this there are of course environmental issues. I tend to believe that a combination of all three things make up the person. I don’t agree that people from better surroundings are necessarily the ones to do better; there are some who have come from very poor backgrounds and from dysfunctional families and yet have made great success out of their lives. I think it is all about self belief and hard work.

It all depends, thus it can be either his surrounding or upbringing or both. While being rich can help, there are some rich kids who never went on to do anything of substance whereas someone from a poor background can turn out to be heavyweight boxing champion of the world or a genuis of some kind. It all depends on the genes and how they get the person to react to his surroundings and upbringings. It also depends on luck because being in the right surroundings at the right time can be a meal ticket to success. Having been raised by my grandparents, I sometimes think that maybe I would have been a good athlete, if I were raised by my father and his people and I might not have been as smart and successful in some endeavors, if I had been raised by my mother.
