Marrying Plants and trees...

this is an abstract situation in many asian countries where people make two trees to marry. This happens as their belief that tree lives happy and grow fast due to other trees in its vicinity. Some places it is also followed as a retual... till which extemt should one support this ... since this does not cause any harm to anyone but is generating a misconseption... Do you think this should carry on ? Should this go on a long run ? is this ethical.... arent we destroying the generl awareness of people ?

I am not familiar with this practice, but I can tell you that there is some scientific data that supports companion planting. I do not know if that is similar or not. Certain types of plants produce better and tastier fruits when planted near each other. Certain hybrid fruit trees will not produce unless they are near other trees. This may be the scientific basis for this story in your culture.

i dont know from what country is that but as far as im concerned its not from my home country coz we dont believe those kind of act. as we still believe that human is only for human and not for trees nor animals. i dont know what they will get in doing it but i guess what they need is to really face the reality in life, instead of believing those kind of things.

i mean marriage is only for human as they can talk to say "yes" or "i do" and marriage is not for trees nor animals
i still believe that for the tree to bear more fruits the tree must be given enough care or enough supply of sun and water.

I haven't heard of this practice. However, I do not think there is anything wrong with it. It is just a belief that seems neutral. If people find relief in marrying two trees let them do it. I have also heard that some people play music in front of their trees so they bear beautiful flowers. As a matter of fact, I even watched a play on this. I thought it was cute.

their is nothing going to happen because of this . since the people believe that something may happen ( although nothing will happen due to this ) we should not tell anything to them about stopping the ritual since it might hurt their feelings and they may gain some confidence because of these rituals . so let them happen . but i think its a thing thats happening due to lack of awareness . if they understand by themselves and stop it then it will be good . .

Well, its superstition and its generally bad for poeple to stay in the reality. But you can`t forbid it either these days... If it really bothers you, than try to do something, there are many blogs, skeptical ppl around. Me, it annoys me, but still i try not to care. Its not me that is messed up...
