Mylot Vs other social Networking sites.

Hi everybody, I am a member of 'Orkut' and had joined Facebook in the recent past. In Orkut I can share my feelings, opinions and thoughts in the different communities and can receive the various responses of the different members there. Now, Orkut is mostly used by school going kids. Their responses and opinions are mostly so immature and sometimes sarcastic. Facebook and its applications aren't user friendly I find. in my opinion it is only good for "farmville" (if you have played this game; farmville). Tweeter and Ibibo is just the same going around with different names. Except mylot I really don't find to be able to share my true feelings and opinions. Would you agree with me into this? Are you also a member of other social networking sites? What if you compare Mylot with the others?

hi bodhisatya I find I am easily able to share my real feelings and my opinions here on mylot as I have been here for two years and enjoy mylotting with my friends all over the world. I have not heard much of good about facebook, but a lot of bad things, I am not on facebook or orkut either. I spent my time on mylot instead and enjoy it very much. This one place mylot is special and unique and has features much different from facebook. I like that fact and will stay here and enjoy myself as much as I can.

Hello friends, Mylot, is really a very good place to share your true feelings and thoughts. Orkut is pathetic, and I am quite new to facebook. And a thing more Mylot pays whatever meager payment it is.Facebook asks for money and there are numerous scamsters sitting at Orkut. Lol

I'm on Facebook, but mostly because so many friends are there - I don't go over there very often, I like it here on the Lot, because I can talk about anything and get people to actually give me thoughtful replies - well, when I need a thoughtful reply - when I need a thump, they supply that too!

Well i guess one really cant express the true feeling on such social networking sites as most of the people in there are the ones with whom we are in contant interaction and any discussion which may end up having your friends on two different sides would be disastrous.. So people tend to be quite conservative on such sites and hence i guess you feel more comfortable out here on mylot...

I'm pretty active on Facebook and Twitter.. and myLot too. I can relate to what you said that here, we can share true feelings and opinions.. I agree. Besides myLot, sometimes I relate my general thoughts and feelings on Twitter.. it's like another virtual home for me, besides myLot.. though in myLot there are friends to interact with. On Twitter, it's basically like Facebook, where the interactions are there but it's pretty limited. Here we can type and answer and comment.. on Facebook, the thing is restricted to friends under our contact list, and not everyone will give their comments when we ask something. Maybe some would say due to the monetary rewards in myLot, people are being involved. But I think a lot of us out here will beg to differ since it's not just about the money.. it's the experience and a whole lot more. I've never joined Orkut, though I've heard of it.. have a good one.

Thank you, bodhisatya.. you have put it very well there and I agree with you on that. It is this great interaction that makes bond between friends all over the world. Have a great day to you.

Hi Zed, When you ask something or simply sit to write down the exact feeling which you are experiencing right now, there would be scores of people throughout the world to relate your feelings with their own and would come forward with their own experiences. it makes me feel elated when something like that happens. Even when we differ from one mylotters opinion/s we tend to do it in the most respectful way. (Maybe there are a couple of exceptions). Thanks for sharing!

I think My lot has lost its once upon a time excitement flavor.. I'm now a regular chatter at HubPages, which is so much more lively and fun than mylot.. I only stop by here once a month for a couple of minutes as truly my lot no longer interests me as before..

Aw... Thats so very sad to know. May I ask why? Is there any specific reason my dear friend? I can bet on this that mylot misses you.

Yes I also am a member of social networking sites. Friendster first and facebook. A long time ago I had a multiply account. But those I use only for friends. People I actually rubbed elbows with. I never add people I have not even met yet. I use facebook to communicate with my friends. We seem so busy nowadays and it served as our portal to "hanging out". Mylot of course is different. We can add friends even if we have not rubbed elbows with them yet. In mylot, we get to express our views and opinions. And it doesn't really matter if we are actual friends with the person whom we're going to ask from or give advice to.

Thats the beauty of this place. People are unknown to one another yet we share so many similar things and experiences, even though we are at different locations of the world. The concerns are genuine, the topics could be related to one's life. Yes, Mylot scores above.

Orkut is more of interaction between friends wherein here there is so much to discuss about basically. There are communities in orkut but at time things get a tad boring. But here we get to discuss everything right from our joys to sorrows and get good advice as well. I personally like them both. It is the best way to kill time.

Hi Bodhi!! You know, what is the best feature of Mylot???It pays all of us for sharing our own suggestions, our opinions with other fellow members. In this real world, giving advices is very easy and we,most of the time get strongly criticized by other people,if we give too many advices or suggestions..But over here you are just getting paid for doing that. I like facebook too.I am quiet new to Facebook,so I cannot feel any addiction to it right now.In fact,I heard many things about this site.I like using some social networking sites, especially the Facebook, to say in touch with the people whom I know personally. But I just follow some norms, just to maintain some ambiguity as other users of this sites may cause trouble,if I disclose all my facts. The sites that I regularly use are Facebook and Orkut and both of this are not paying. But its really a fun as I can share photos and other information through messages and can also share scraps with the acquaintances. It is very helpful in keeping contact with the people I rarely come across these days.I also like playing Farmville and chatting. It is indeed a great site, but not as great as Mylot..

Yeah Tuyakiki, Mylot, is a better place than the others. It has an edge and it surely scores high amongst the others. So you are in farmville to huh? I enjoy being a farmer there, Thanks for your views, Bodhi

I have given my opinions and opened some of my feelings on Mylot. I found out when I open up with my feelings I get overly critized for doing that! I get critized for my opinions but I don't care! Everyone has the right to do that! On Facebook I can voice my opinions more of the time. As long as I don't get pissed at one of my friends,no problem! I'm also into Farmville and ened up getting some of my friends into that! Facebook I know all my friends. On Mylot I don't know these people in person and I'm mostly here to make money. When it comes to socializing I prefer Facebook over Mylot.

Hmmmm thats an interesting thing you mentioned there. You have been critisized here at mylot. Was it done by one particular member or you have been critisized by many of them? Just curious. You must have very good friends there at facebook. Thank you for such an honest response, Bodhi

I am and have been a member of several social networking websites including facebook and twitter. While I don't agree with every single application on facebook, certin fan pages keep me up-to-date on what's going on with what's important to me. I love knowing I can contact pet smart just by sending a message, or check out their event wall to find out about sales and specials. Such as the holoween contest they host every year.

hi! From all the social networks that you have mentioned, I don't only know the Orkut social network. all others I know from a while and in some of them I am also a member. But I really think that there is no other social network which is better than Mylot. mylot has the highest population, the most interesting and various interests and discussions, it pays on the best way to its members. and we can actually have much freedom here. Facebook is only for some "free-time-killing" and there is nothing interesting for me. I used it alot before joined mylot, but now I log in only for 20-30 min. a day!

Aw... good for you that you are not in Orkut. It is like the saddest thing I have ever been to. A person went to a zoo or something he will post his pics. For that if he doesn't have a digicam he will specifically buy a digicam for that and would feel proud to post his pics there. The forums are flooded with immature teenagers who want to bring a change in the world by passing sarcastic comments on others. Facebook is totally, meant for passing time. Thanks for sharing.
