Internet will become God !!! err Ghost !!! Wat???

There is loads and loads of information about each individual upon the internet. There are mail ID, data,profile,incidents in ones life and much much more... Dont you think one day one intelligent machine if programmed to an extent will use all this data to become a virtual god of the internet in whose awe we need to live in... it seems to be quite very impossible but still it will be an unusual event and this may cause a lot of turmoile in our world.... I suppose this will be useful in some respects or may ruin too.... how do you percieve this situation? will it happen ? if it happens then we even need to pay for being secure ? or may be even go mad behind such thing ? there may be some future to it too!!!

This to me seems highly doubtful while midly amusing, but that's all I see it as, amusing. Needless to say, the internet will continue to grow with as with all things. And, I doubt it would become that powerful. Close maybe, but it has one major flaw. Its still controled by man.
