Accident?.... ACCIDENT?! The person is blamed is a man who used the religion of Islam to convince believers it was their duty as muslums to do this. I don't even think Bin Laden himself believes it, I believe he is only using a twisted interpretation of the religion to further his own agenda of becomming a powerfull world figure. He is probably the biggest and most dangerous con artist in the world today.

Hi nudra_aken, I think much of our anger stems from injustice or perceived injustice. An unresolved anger manifests into terrorism. Perceived injustice can be cured with negotiation, but at times, people get their egos involved. That is when they dont listen to reasoning and take instantaneous decisions. Such things can happen in any community or religion! Hungry person is more likely to get angry than a person who is not. Therefore, our first objective as humans should be to eradicate hunger! How? Grow more food, or have fewer children. There seems to be a race amongst religions out here to outnumber each other. Little do they realize that ultimately, it will be lack of food that will win the game. So flexibility in religions is a must. There was a time, womenfolk in our religion never stepped out of their homes, today they are traveling without any escorts and working! So does that mean that they no longer belong to our religion? Of course not. Likewise, some compromises in other areas are inevitable. Having more number of children was a necessity when there were diseases like small pox, and jaundice. Now, it doesnt make as much sense. Likewise, growing hungry was essential to save food for sowing. With modern irrigational methods, it is no longer necessary. But our people dont really look at the reasons, they just follow what is written. That is where we go wrong. By the way, fasting is prescribed in our religion as well. In our religion, it s womenfolk who fast, because men have to go out and work, and they need more energy to work on the fields, etc. :)

Please note such things can happen in any religion or community! I am sure Germans must have faced such prejudices after world war II.
