Not my own dog, but my brother was once bitten by a nieghbour's dog. It had bitten people in the past, and this was the last straw. Afterit bit my brother, and left a nasty scar on his lower leg, the thing had to be put down for everybody's safety.

This dog was not owned by the person it bit, he only visited there. If anyone hurts an animal like that he should be charged with animal cruelity. If I held you upside down by the legs you wouldn't be happy with me either and might bite mE on the thigh also...WHY WOULD U BE SHOCKED. iF HE TRIED THIS ON MY DOG HE WOULDN'T BE WALKING... REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

Yes, twice by one of my dogs, once by my other dog. Keisha, a shepherd mix had been two years old at the time and she chomped down on my right arm playfully with her back jaws, the jaws used to crunch meat and bones. She didn't break the skin, but my arm felt like it was on fire and for the entire day was pretty much useless. She felt very bad though, and apologized to me in her own doggy way. Fast forward to six years later, she and Shadow, my retriever mix who passed away to old age, got into a fight. I went to separate them like always (They didn't always fight, but sometimes she'd get grumpy and attack him), but I made a mistake and she bit me on my thumb. It tore the entire nail off and required an emergency trip to the hospital to determine if there were broken bones. Thankfully there were none. Now at nearly two years later, Keisha will be turning ten years old soon, and she's learned to be more gentle. She will not play rough with me unless it's with a rope toy, or if I'm wearing long sleeves which she will gently grab until it's half off my arm, then shake it back and forth. She refuses to put her teeth on my skin, and she learned this entirely on her own. Shadow Jr on the other hand.... About to be two years old, is very rough. He bit me last week, and left a bruise, but didn't break the skin. And he was only playing. Still, it hurt for a few minutes.

Since 1981, I've had 13 Shetland sheepdogs (2, 3, 4 and even 5 at a time). I've never been bitten by one of my kids. And while one may curl a lip at another one, at times, they generally get along great. I love Shelties because they're social, gentle and intelligent. They love people and usually get along with other animals (dogs, cats, turtles, etc.) (they do like to bark at cats, until the cat is next to them and then it's "ok, you want to play"). Your friend deserved to be bit, in my opinion, for grabbing the dog by its legs and holding it up-side-down. Why would he do that?

I have 5 dogs and never ever did they bite me and they never would. The only time i have been bitten was while I was vet technician, but my own dogs no way, that is why training should start at an early age to nip it in the butt, no pun intended.

I have had my dog bite in fun, just a little nip, but we are always careful, if we have to doctor a wound or give a shot we put a muzzel on the dog. If you hurt a dog or even startle one you can get bit. Sounds like your friend was abusing the dog and asking to be bit. Remember biting is the only defense a dog has.

it was ur friend;s fault why he got bit, he should not make fun of the dog, he was holding it upside down, as u can see, it would be painful for them, why u so shocked? its not shocking ur friend was abusing the dog.

Only during play, but then it's my fault, because my teasing gets her to give me a play bite, but she's never broken skin or bitten so hard that it hurts. We have a tease game where I either tickle her legs, raspberry her tummy and head, grab her mouth and shake..little things like that, and she tries to get back at me by giving me a play bite. She's a maltese x shih tzu.

Yes, one time when I was playing with him. But he never bit someone else. Probably because my dog is scared of everythings. Even the cats!!
