Do you use hair oil? or rather do you apply oil to your hair?
I used to do this regularly earlier but mainly at night and wash it off in the morning - a habit inculcated by my grand-mother, everyone in the family did this; but nowadays I do it once a week or maybe once in a fortnight. I think many people in our country do this as this was done for health reasons - it also nourished your brain, relieved stress, your hair remained healthy condition, no hair fall, greying much later, induced good sleep, etc etc

i used to put virgin coconut oil into my hair as a substitute of going to the salon for hot oil. but i didnt leave it overnight coz i dont want my pillow to smell like stinky. i normally put it in morning then wash them off in the afternoon. it will help repair our damaged hair and make it shinny and smooth.

I never oil my hair except on diwali, orelse normally I use parachute hair cream. But I remember during my childhood the oil from the hair used to leak through my forehead.

Hi uday,
I apply oil in my head before one hour of bath. I never applied oil and leave it for overnight. I can’t wait for more than one hour after apply the oil, if I do it then I will suffer headache. Oiling is good for hair and I think one hour is enough to get the advantages. In my native place boiled coconut oil with herbs is very famous. Now different types of ayurvedic oils are available in the market and the manufactures are claiming that, ‘no grey, no hair fall, no dandruff etc’.

I don't do anything special to my hair-like washing it with oil. Once a week I don't wash my hair, so that the natural oil can replenish (?) it. I have heard from my aunt that eating more egg yolks help replenish and thicken hair, and prevent gray hair. A family friend uses white vinegar and says that it's great to do it sparingly, maybe every week or two wash it once using the white vinegar.
