I do not have yet my voter's ID but I registered last year. For this coming election it will be my first time to vote and I hope I will vote the right persons, the lesser evil/corrupt persons.

I absolutely refuse to vote. I understand that it is my "right", but frankly, it doesn't matter who you vote, or who is elected...things always go wrong and lots of people aren't happy. So I don't bother.

Of course I'll exercise my right to vote. This is time I'm going to vote for the Presidential Election. I'd like to think that voting is more of my responsibility rather than just a right. I mean, the Philippines has many corrupt officials already. My vote can change that. And it's my responsibility. Doing nothing doesn't exempt us from the fact that we did nothing to change the Philippines. So I suggest that those who have lost confidence in their voting rights, rethink their earlier decision.

I agree with you angel. We have to take part in creating change. Not all of the places in Philippines allow cheating to reign although I think that only comprises minority. At least here in our place, the counting and everything are closest to being the truth. My vote may just be one, but a forest starts with one tree, and a walk to a thousand miles starts with one footstep so at least my one vote may create a whole lot of difference.

we have the right to vote. but for me, if i were to choose to vote or not to vote, i wont vote, because i know there will still be cheating and sometimes killings. our politics is dirty and full of lies... im from mindanao, and thinking about counting votes, sometimes i think if our votes are counted.

Voting is not only a right but also a responsibility. Since it is a responsibility, i believe it is of utmost importance to study your candidates and be very critical in voting, especially on the national scale government candidates because they will be seated for 6 years and run our country. I think the country is on the verge of eruption and a poor choice might just lead us all into great calamity. This is a very important time for us Filipinos and I am glad that there are still people like you who look forward to contributing for the well being of our nation by wise voting.

I have been always voting when there are elections like this. I wanted my vote to be heard even if it is less than 1% of the total population. I think we should exercise it because that is the only chance our voices will be heard.

hello vycess, as long as you are REGISTERED VOTER, there's no problem for you to vote. i have emailed comelec regarding this matter, and they told that they're won't be much printing of I.D's until july of 2010. so, who is this lucky candidate that's gonna get the vote from you? Elections is 60+ days away so you will have plenty of time to vote for the right person.

I don't want to because election is already over before the election day comes. It is just so sad that most of us doesn't believe the election process anymore. Well we cannot blame our people because of what happened to our country. On the second thought why don't we give it a try this time. Let us exercise our rights to choose.

Sure, it is my right and privilege to vote. I guess you are from the Philippines too, and i encourage you to vote wisely this coming election, especially that it will be your first time to exercise your right. I really do pray that we, Filipinos, would be matured enough to select the best candidates who will be allowed to govern our country. Yes, you may be right in saying that we will be voting for the ones who are less evil/corrupt. I really pray hard for the future of our country. That is why i pray for God's intervention that our votes will not just be based on our own personal interests but for the sake of our future, the future of our country and the future of our children.

Oh yes I will definitely vote for this coming election because a very good friend of ours is running for councilor. We have very high hopes for our friend. He is supposed to run as an independent candidate but it would be quite impossible to win. However, our friend really have strong principles and even if he is running with a party he has refused some offers from the incumbent mayor which is really shows some corruption practices. It's a good thing though that the mayor is quite respectful with his ideas too. Our friend said he couldn't accept those offers coz those are the things that he would want to fight off if he'll have the chance to sit in the office. I hope there are more new politicians who got principles who can have the chance to be in the government office. Someone who is not afraid to fight for the right things. I hope our friend wouldn't change too and wouldn't be eaten by the system someday.

always vote but for national election only and not for local. since im pregnant right now and i know that theres too many people in there, im thinking if it will be safe for me to vote though i saw pregnant women before in voting area. we really cant avoid any hated arguments between different party and thats what im trying to avoid since its national election. but if i see that the place is safe then i will vote. besides its my last vote being single coz i know next time im already a mother

It is our right to vote for the right president according to our conscience and good issues which the candidate could present. I will choose the one capable of leading our nation into good governance. Evaluate his character, integrity, platform, by way of media ,speeches, and background achievement. Although we cannot say candidate is not so perfect in our taste but will be able to run our country for good. It is better to vote for him/her to exercise our right to vote.

Nope, I am not voting because i think what our country needs is someone that can prove it first than talk first. Well, i guess we have some good names on the list of candidates and lets just hope that they will do well. I am looking forward for a better country in the coming years. God bless to everybody
