For those who would never steal- money, jewelry, anything- what is your reason? fear of consequences- which consequences?- or morals?
I think stealing is wrong, because of the principles I've grown up around.

I don't steal because that is how I was raised. Also, if I don't want it to happen to me, I don't do it to someone else. I don't really look down on someone who steals to eat. I can understand the desperation. But I do believe that when he gets caught, he deserves to pay the consequences.
When I was down and out, I've found a lot of people who were giving. My focus was on getting myself back on my feet as honestly as I could.

Same here! I truly understand how awful it is to lose or have somthing stolen. There are reasons people steal, but you're right, consequences cant be avoided on the sole fact they were in need of something. I'm glad you are honest, thankyou for sharing! :)

why would i steal if theres no reason for me to steal, besides how much it will cost compare to my reputation, i dont think it will be enough. and why would i steal if i can just simply buy for my own i just need to save for that. and if i dont have money then i have family to ask for help.

I too was raised that stealing was wrong. I have to tell you my story though. I was about 5 years old and I went with my mother to the grocery store. I saw a pack of crayons, I don't know why I didn't just ask her to buy them but I picked them up and put them in my pocket. We got home and my mother saw me take them out. Of course she wanted to know where i got them and I told her. She turned right around, put me back into the car and took me back to the grocery store. I had to stand there in front of the manager and tell him what I'd done. That was the best lesson she could have ever given me about stealing. That feeling I had that day is something I've never forgotten. I also believe that whatever we do comes back to us 10 times over. People just don't think of that when they decide to take something that isn't theirs to take. Is there ever a time when stealing is alright, for instance someone steals food to feed their children? My opinion, NO, ask for help. If it was me and someone told me they needed food to feed their child I know I would take them to the store and buy them something to eat. Wouldn't you?

Stealing is wrong all together. I was raised not to steal and I raised my kids the same way. If I don't have the money to get it then I just have to wait till I get the money to buy it. Until then what I want doesn't belong to me. There are people that steal out of stores and its just crazy.

Agreed. It was how I was raised. If it isn't yours, and it wasn't given to you, than you've got no right taking it.
Simple enough. Only if all people would be raised the same.
But at the same time, I do understand the desperation to steal. Troubled times leads to troubled measures.

Since childhood some values are imbibed into us during our upbringing. One of them is stealing is not good . Whatever we want we shoud get by our earning. Thats why we do not steal. The Values imbibed during childhood are very strong and stays with us for ever.
