I enjoy my Nation's and a few Western Nation's (UK, Canada, etc.) music best. But I've listened to India's, Pakistan's, South America's, France's, etc. music and some of it can be very "refreshing"...a nice change of pace. I've collected some music from all over the world and I listen to it on occasion.

Maybe yes maybe no but I think music has no boundaries as long as you enjoy it. I love listening to English song, our Filipino songs and some foreign songs like Korean, Japanese, Spanish and Chinese. Even if I don't understand them but I love the melody of it.

I prefer Classical Indian Music, Carnatic and Hindustaani, film songs that are closer to these musical genre, some film songs aping western music styles. Well, not all of them.Desi pop of punjabi style is also nice but then it gets to be repetitive and lacking in musical variety. It is like you have listened to one you have listened to all of 'em. But such music is good on occasions when you have to dance or you somehow want your mood to be lifted. But if one has to realyfeel therapeutic about music there is nothing to beat the Classical styles. I do enjoy Western Music though, I have to strain to get a hang of the lyrics, but you see primarily music has no language, It speaks the language of the Atman.
