When you are driving, either with someone else in the car or alone, and happen to get lost, do you stop somewhere and ask someone for directions? Or do you continue to drive, believing you will be able to find where you are going? If you keep driving, do you eventually find your way? Do you try to rely on maps when traveling?

I am probibly one of the few guys who is smart enough to stop and ask for directions if I need them. I am not afraid to ask for some help. I'm just careful as to who I approach and how I approach them. I'll usually stop at a convience store and look at a map if I don't already have one. I had just got a new cell phone that had the map feature on it, but I lost it already. I'll have to get a new one and just ask for help until I do.

...Hi flpoolbum, You are nicely different than most guys for sure, and smart not to have a problem asking for directions. I have wasted countless minutes and gas, driving after getting lost and not wanting to ask, because I just knew I would get there eventually. Not! I do a little better now, I will ask sooner, although I
don't get lost as much. Awful about losing such a nice cell phone. :o( Take care
and thanks for your response.

..Hi yugasini, You are probably safer not driving a car, so I would not worry about it. You have the right idea, in my opinion, if you were driving, to ask if you get lost, for directions so that you do not waste time driving in circles and getting nowhere. Better to ask someone who knows the way, than to keep driving forever. Take care and thanks for your response.

Whenever i traveled to a new location and unsure of which road should i follow, i will always stopped at a nearest shop or house, to ask for direction. So that, i won't get lost and able to reach my preferred destination in the shortest time. I prefer not to keep driving, as it's a waste of time and petrol, if we are unsure of where are we heading for. I likes to visit new location, when i have the free time, so it had been a norm for me, to ask around just to reach for my prefer location.

...Hi myfb2009, That is the smart thing to do, rather than driving all over the place, using gas and time, ask and get there quicker. I used to have a tendency to drive and drive because I wanted to prove to myself that I could find the place,
instead of asking someone and saving myself aggravation. With the new systems out now it's much easier I am sure. Thanks for responding and take care.

When I am puzzled with the direction then I ask people about the direction of the path. I stop driving till getting correct idea of my destination route. It is not possible ti find the right way eventually then I take helps from other person of that locality.

...Hi there Aaleexix, Of all the things to happen to me while driving, besides getting a ticket or being involved in some kind of accident, I really hate getting lost somewhere.
Twice in my life, I can remember being really, really lost, once was at night somewhere in Maryland. I decided I was tired, would sleep in the car and try in the morning, it was late at night. I had parked in friot of someone's home.
I changed my mind, and tried one more time to find my hotel and I did it.
The other time I was in New York, had wound up under a bridge, although it was still daytime it was scary. Someone was nice enough to help, told me where to go and I found my way to my destination. I've been blessed or lucky. "o) Thanks for your response, take care.

it has happened to me a lot of times . recently me and my friend were going to a place to buy some gifts and we dont know the route exactly and we were circling in the same area . in those situations i will definitely ask someone the route and then will continue to go in the route they sat . but on very rare occassions i will know that the route i am going is almost correct and then in those situations i wont ask anyone and will just go .

...Hi dilipmiester, I think your answer would be what a lot of people do. Especially if you have been in the area before and miss a turn or something. You see something familiar and you have the feeling that you are close and you keep going. Most of the time I think, in those instances, you are able to find your way.
If I get really turned around, to avoid further frustration, I will find a willing soul and ask for help, to save gas and not to waste anymore time. Thanks so much for stopping by, take care.

I plan my trips ahead of schedule. I use maps even the internet. But still I 'am not a perfect person not to get lost sometimes which is not always. But if it ever happens i always drive in a gas station to ask some question as to where I'am going to Directions if you may ask

...Hi fred11, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy. You do what makes good sense, to stop and ask someone to give you directions. Using a map is smart as well, but I used to find that maps were not always up to date and one little line that is no longer there can throw you off. So the best thing would be to do as you do, ask someone who knows the area and get to where you are going faster. Thnaks for your reply, take good care.
