After a few month of chasing Barcelona, Real Madrid finally reach the top of La Liga chart. A dramatic, injury time goal from Rafael van der Vaart, 3-2 win for Real Madrid against Sevilla mean they are now at the top of the table base on goal different. Barcelona only manage to draw 2-2 against mid table team, Almeria. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have 62 points from 25 games. With 13 games left to play, can Barcelona recharge and keep the La Liga trophy in their trophy cabinet this season? Or can Real Madrid, with millions of dollars stars in their squad, bring that trophy to the Bernebau? Please remember that if both team have a same points at the end of the season, the next thing to be count is head to head score.

hm. i believe, this standing is temporary.i do believe that barca can win again this tittle this year, no doubt.madrid is always incosistent even always win in many goals.

Hi adhyz, Real Madrid seem to be inconsistent in their performance before. You can see this when they lost to the team like Athlatic Bilbao and draw with Sporting Gijon and Osasuna. But since the new year, they manage to win all their games except once. Barcelona on the other hand is very convincing at the start of the season. They collect maximum point until the draw with Velencia in October. Since then they draw against Osasuna, Athlatic Bilbao and Villarreal. And follow by losing to Sevilla. last week they draw with Almeria. It may be because of their player tiredness but they have it because they involve in so many games. Even though I love to see Barcelona win La Liga again but it is hard to say now since the competition from Real Madrid is very stiff and Barcelona inconsistency.

so lets see the time.maybe we can discuss about the left game between madrid and barca. so if we know the each of their opponent, maybe we can calculate the maximum point that they can get it

You can look the fixture from UK Yahoo sport. Here is the link: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/la-liga/2009-2010/results/2010_03.html But the most interesting game will be on April 11 (April 12 morning in our place), when Real Madrid face Barcelona at Bernabeu. A draw is enough for Barcelona to take the trophy if both team have the same points. Real Madrid need to win by 2 goals. Barcelona won their first meeting at Nou Camp 1-0.

Hi neo, Being able to collect all the stars from all around the world was not enough to be a champion. They need to be bind together and work as a team before they can win the game. Any selfish attitude among the star would bring more damage then good to the team.

Hi apit, I think it is hard for Real Madrid to win La Liga and more so for Champion League. They need to win a by 2 goal again Lyon tomorrow in order to go to the next stage. They lost 1-0 in the first leg.

Its still too early to predict who will turn out to be the winner for this season as both teams have the same points. However i personally feel that it would be a touch and go for both teams till the last game and this time i think it might still be as reigning champions barcelona again taking away the title from madrid. lets wait and see how it goes..

Hi thrillshills, You are right. There are a lot more games to be played before the end of the season. And I believe that between now and end of the season, both teams will lose some points. The only thing is who will lose more. Just like you, I believe that Barcelona will keep the La Liga trophy if they can sort their slum in recent games quickly. Otherwise, Real Madrid grab it.

ya i am very happy i am a very big real madrid fan and i have been waiting for this . but this is not yet over . their are still 13 more games to played in the league and in the unknown game of football anything can happen. let me hope that the real madrid can maintain their top position . it may even go down to the real madrid vs barcelona match and it may decide the trophy this year . . . at the moment i am happy .

Hi dilipmiester, Real Madrid might top of the La Liga chart right now but only because they manage to have score different more then Barcelona. Real madrid has +47 while Barcelona has +45. One thing interesting in La Liga is if both team has same points, they will not look into the goal different. They will look it into the head to head meeting. And currently Barcelona has a upper hand between this two team. They won in their first meeting 1-0 at Nou Camp.
