Whats the real story behind the recent pentagon shooting?

Wondered what do others think of this story? and do people still believe what we are told through media? The story on Daily Mail website is refered to as '9/11 conspiracy theorist' gunned down by security guards in Pentagon shoot-out.
Wondered what others thoughts are on this story. In UK I haven't seen it on the news but then I don't watch it that often.

the guy had a lot of mental issues. his being invplved in the 9/11 truth movement had nothing to do with that though, he was just a manic depressive (or was it bipolar?), certifiable unstable nut who also happened to be a 9/11 truther.

I agree it doesnt matter if he was a 9/11 truther but they are using this to point the finger at this group of people. I have seen a couple american news shows where they keep saying will this shotting stick with the 9/11 truthers movement for all time now? I mean how obvious can they get that they are wanting to put a spin on this story to demonise the movement. They keep trying to do this... but they will fail as people just aren't that stupid no more!

Of course they are...it's what they do. Lump people in to neat little boxes and domonize them. I know a lot of people in the truth movement and most all of them are just good hearted patriots who question the official story of the 9/11 attacks. They are certainly far from nuts (most anyway) and they constitute a threat to the "status quo" of our political system, so the press is going to demonize them just the same as they have deomized any other patroit groups. It's tactic that is starting to fail though, it seems lately the more they demonize, the more people turn on the press and start joining in the ranks of these groups.

This wasn't a part of any conspiracy, just a guy who apparently acted on his own through his own paranoia.
There was an interesting interview with family and friends in today's Washington Post.

It depends if you think the powers that be are trying to put 9/11 truthers in the frame and make them out to be mentalists. They reported only an hour after the shooting he was a 9/11 truther! Why not report he was a manic depressive?? The media are trying to put a spin on it. Im sure he was just a bit unstable and a bit mental and apparently the family even called police 2 weeks before the shooting happened as they were scared he was gonna do sumthin like this. Anyway it all seems dodgy to me the way they reported it. Like you said what does it matter he was a 9/11 truther! Stats are 8 out of 10 people in american dont believe the offical story!
