Hello Myloters!
Today I would like to talk about superstitions. I confess that I am superstitious, every time when 13 date falls on a Friday, I nervous all day, with me happens bad things. In school teachers is very angry at me, and can put a 1 in my diary. In home containers rupture. The same also happen when I see black cat, not talk about 6 it is the devil number. Are you superstitious? If you are superstitious, the bad things is happens with you? Share with your experiences please.

hi! I am really not that superstitious and i really try not be superstitious at all, because it only makes my day worse. so about the 13th of each month- i don't pay attention on it, because I really don't believe in that anymore, and it is true- if you are superstitious and believe that something bad will happen to you, then it will, because you make it happen with your acts :) try to be more convinced abut that, that these are only stories for good night and that if you don't believe in it it will not happen to you!

ET28LV hi I am not superstitious at all as to be so is to make yourslerf unwitingly do stupid things that make it only look like its bad luck, you
are actually causing your own bad luck by believing these mythical superstitions. If you expect bad things to happen to you, you will be careless, you will actually cause your own problems, you fail to look where you are going and fall down and break an ankle. you try to cross on the pedistrian light just as its about to turn red, its you yourself causing all the supposed bad things that happen, do not expect them to happen and they will not.

Hello Hatley!
It is nice that you are not superstitious. I can agree with you, then we think about superstition all bad things is happen. Maybe it is only thoughts, if we don't think for superstition bad things don't happen? I certainly examine it next time when be a 13 and Friday!

My grandmother was very superstitous. I think most older people in my area were at a certain time. She would x out the path when a black cat crossed in fron of the car and if you spilled salt, you had to toss a pinch over your shoulder. Of course there was the common ones like ladders and mirrors and although I am not big on superstition it's funny that I sometimes catching myself xing out a path or tossing a bit of salt over my shoulder..LOL..I'm not superstitious but at the same time I guess I don't want to tempt it either..lol

Before I was so superstitious because I was very much influenced by my grandma but now, I don't really have so much to think of it. Friday the 13th is just an ordinary day for me and as long as I'll stay away from danger, surely nothing will ever happen to me

She follows a lot of superstitious beliefs and also the other members of the family too... She tells me the reason why we should follow and the possible consequence if we don't. Anyways, it won't make us less of a person if we follow it so I do sometimes make it a practice.

superstition per se is a fallacy. it defies explanation is is downright illogical. but i tell you, a lot of people believe in some of them. like the friday the 13th, even television networks and newspapers do special stories on the subject. the black cat crossing your path is another. as you can see, there is no scientific explanation why these things, bad things and never the good ones, happen on that particular day and when black cats cross one's path. whoever invented that ominous date and made peculiar stories of normal street crossings, we surely don't know. but sometimes, though, i also take some precaution when i see these signs. but, of course, i don't necessarily believe in them.

I won't say that I am not a superstition because I belive in certain things.
I will always try and not write my name on my sales sheet until I get one in my bag.
The other thing is that I won't like to give my pen to other becuase I think that this way my progress will be blocked for that day!

No, I am not superstitious but I do believe that if you convince yourself that something is bad luck you will more than likely attract what you fear. My father claims to be an atheist and says he does not faith in anything that he cannot physically see and touch yet he is the most superstitious person I know which makes no sense to me at all! He becomes very angry if anyone spills salt at the table and if a mirror is broken my dad will make the person responsible’s life not worth living! Totally silly in my opinion!

I don't believe in such bad luck, like you mentioned - Friday 13th and black cats and stuff. Well, when I see a black cat crossing my way there comes a thought of that belief up in my mind, but I just smile and continue my way, knowing that no black cat can actually affect my day negatively.
To be honest I once had a really bad day on Friday 13th, but I think that it was coincidence and perhaps a result of a hidden fear of that date.

I am superstitious to some extent. If somebody sneezes when I am going out, I will come back, sit for a while, drink some water and then go. Otherwise the work will not get over or I will face problems.

Well my experience is funny. Last Friday the 13th, I was on my way to school and I saw a black cat. Well, my whole day was just fine. I actually believed black cat is a luck for me.

Hi ET28LV,
If you believe in superstitious then it will create many problems for you. It only based on some beliefs and if you believe it strongly then it will happen with you. So try to change your attitude and be positive. Divert your mind from superstitions, if you can think that nothing bad will happen then it will be like that. I heard about the 13 number and relation with Friday from mylot only. I don’t believe 13 is a bad number, I born on this date only. Number 13 is normally lucky for me. Our faiths should make something useful for us, what is the necessity to call unnecessary problems by believing nonsense. So take a decision today itself, ‘I won’t be superstitious from tomorrow’. All the best.

Hello Sreekala!
Yes superstition make many problems in my life, I believe for it very strongly. I try to think for positive things when next come 13th Friday. I'm not saying that the number 13 is bad, the 13th Friday is bad. Except if you born on 13th Friday, then it can be not so good. OK I need to live with the idea, that I do not believe in superstition.

Superstitions are born of fear in the unknown , to believe in superstition is a defense of the subconscious does not understand something.
Generally superstitions are born inside the community without an excessive level of education and were perpetuated by centuries.
You think number 13 is evil, the black cat brings bad luck, as if you spread salt mean arguing .... Let's face it,i believe in tradition and religion, but not superstitions.

well i am not at all superstitious......
the main reason behind this stufff and getting it real is BELIEF.......

If you go through the day all worried that something bad is going to happen, something bad probably will. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you are all distracted waiting and looking for something bad to happen, you will be more likely to make silly mistakes.
I do, however, believe in the rule of 3. That bad things come in groups of 3. If two bad things happen to me, I always look around for the third.
