Please help: I cannot get firefox browser to work!!

I recently applied to be a guide on chacha.com. I've already finished all the study courses and am only one 10 question test away from working with them. However, before logging on to the site where the test is you have to have a firefox browser. Well, I already had it installed but I hadn't used it in some time and it wouldn't come up...so , I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still didn't work..so I searched and read to try deleting the profile under profile manager. That didn't work and now it gives an error message saying that it is already running and that I need to restart computer for the browser to come up...even if I have just turned on my computer. It is driving me nutty. Especially since I'm all studied up to be a chacha guide. Any help would be much appreciated.

i have the same problem with firefox and it's a pain to fix. but not as much of a pain as working for the pittance that chacha pays. you'd be better off collecting cans or something. really its not worth your time

Well, that's good to know. I'm not going to do it if it's not worth it. It seems that every thing I've tried on the net isn't worth my time. Do you know of anything?

have you looked at kgb? i think it pays a little better? if you want to go the whole hog theres AQA but they need references and might only be looking for the uk at the moment. apart from that, unless you're willing to go the adult route, theres not much i can think of.

Have youtried uninstalling, deleting all cookies and temporary files, restart the computer,reinstall, and restart again before trying to load Firefox? That basically was what I did when Firefox did a bummer on me. Just bear in mind that it may not work for you, but since youneed it, give it a try if you have not done so.
