i live with my family here in the city. my wife have their house in the province. and since i work in the city, we have to live here and kids go to school, also here in the city. since we have no own house, we are renting. i long been dreaming to own a house so that it will save us more, instead of renting. but i still have to work more.

yah go and get your own house. because if you will kept on renting, thats a waste of money. you're paying that house and at the end you will not owned that house. unlike if you will loan, you will pay monthly but at the end you will own the house.

I will like to buy my own house too!! lol =D I want my own privacy, and i want my own space!! hehe ^_^ BUt still, i will wanna stay with my parents, because it's my duty to care for them, when they are getting older now.. hehe ^_^ However, i only wish that, with my own house, i will be able to enjoy more peace, and finally getting a room of my own, rather than keeping hearing the opening of my room door, every 15-30mins, whenever they wanna come in to take some things!! hehe

Before when we are living in the house of my auntie, it was really hard because they treated as if you are a housemaid, you do all things for them, eventhough you are giving and buying food for the rest of the family, and renting for your stay but still you are not treated very well. Thanks God, we have now a house that we can call our own, much nicer from their house and they even visited and sleep here and have treated as visitors, wherein good things we have done..

Until this time a year ago, I lived at my mother's house along with my husband and two children, my mother, my sister, my brother, sister-in-law and two nieces. There were far too many people in her house. We finally moved into our house last March. Living in our own house is the greatest thing that I've ever experienced. We don't have people breathing down our necks all the time and we are able to paint things the way that we like, we can decorate as we like. And, most of all, we have space for all of our stuff. I hope that your dream for the year happens.

Yes,I do agree.Having your space is very important. It is not how big it is that matters, rather,it provides you with a sense of belongings.I guess that why people are eager to invest in properties rather than equities. This is the added value of a house. I only have a house of 40 square meters in the urban area.I found myself very comfortable living in it even though it is not a luxury home.Good luck with you.I think you can significantly improve your life this year.

Yes, it is hard living under someone else's roof, even if it's a relative. When my husband and I were planning our move from Maryland to Florida we made 3 trips down here in advance in search of temporary housing until we found a house to buy. We could have stayed with my husband's brother but we have pets and didn't want to impose on them. We lucked out, found two properties side by side that we like which was located only a block from my husband's brother so everything was set and the papers ready to sign when we moved here. Stay focused and you'll get there.

Hello carrine, I wish you all the luck.! yes,it's not easy to live with our family. Even if they are our family and it doesn't matter with them(esp with our parents, they want us to live with them) But living separately and to own a house even if a small and simple one will give us some pride for ourselves too. There is no more confident living in our own and achieving some things for our own. It's like saying " these are the products of my hardworks"

I've spent 26 long years renting a house. I got retired from work after 27 and with my retirement pay I was able to buy a 64 square meter lot and build a house made up of 2nd hand materials. At least I can sleep well now not being bothered how to pay the monthly rental. My family stayed in that house during typhoon Ondoy that flooded it about 12 feet high. My family wishes and pray that in the very near future, a nice and comfortable two storey brand new house can be seen in our lot.
